Hi Everyone.
My doctor prescribe this medicine a couple of month ago, but right now I’m really desperate and don’t know if to take or not.
This med is called Amantadine ( Symmetrel). Is use for Fibromyalgia patients, but specially Parkinson’s patients.
Anyone try this med before, please help my fatigue is really bad and the pain that I can not take anymore.

hi. i can certainly understand your fear of new drugs and the desperation of feeling so poorly. I have been
disabled for 27 years with a severe case of chronic fatigue immune dysfunction syndrome (CFIDS) .I think i have
had every symptom under the sun. I was seeing a specialist in NYC who was trying alot of things on us. One of
which was Amantadine which is used as anti viral med and for Parkinsons.. Everyone reacts differently to drugs
and i dont want to add to your fear. I hesitated to tell you this but then i didnt think it was right of me not to since
you really did ask. I dont know if it was from this drug and just a coincidence but 9 days later I had grand mal siezures for which i will be taking meds for the rest of my life. I wish you the best of luck and pray you find some relief from your symptoms that work well for you. hugs :-)

I had to look this up, it says it is used for fatigue. It may really help you. Your Doctor seems to think that it will, it may be worth a try, you will know soon if you can tolerate it. I am not a medical professional, but hopefully you trust yours.
