One of my daughters is experiencing symptoms of fibro and was recently diagnosed with degenerative disc. I am pushing her to bring up fibro to her dr. Does any one else have this issue.

My daughter is showing a lot of symptoms but she does not have insurance at this time. I see a lot of the symptoms I had when I was younger showing up in her now. Try and talk to your daughter again.

Hi dena,

From the [Mayo Clinic](http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/is-fibromyalgia-hereditary/AN01962):

> Fibromyalgia isn't passed directly from parents to children the way diseases such as cystic fibrosis and hemophilia are. But family studies have found that the odds of having fibromyalgia are several times higher in the immediate families of people with fibromyalgia than in families in which no one has fibromyalgia. These observations suggest that heredity is a factor in causing fibromyalgia.

My Mother was never diagnosed, but I believe she had Fibro. I have a feeling that her sister does too, and a couple of cousins. I hope you can talk her into asking the doctor, so she can get started on treatment now if necessary. Tell her it can't hurt to ask, although I know that no one wants this diagnosis!

Renie♥

She looked it up and found for herself that she has alot of the symptoms. If her Dr. won’t consider it she plans to see mine.
