My right hand well wrist has been causing me severe pain last 2 weeks. I do use my hand alot with my job since I’m in the medical profession. It throbs like a toothache sometimes.I also have some weakness in it too. Is this part of fibro or the arthritis? ---

Thanks so much for the respond it seems like I spend all of my days off in the doctors office. I guess I will see my GP and see what he says. I also notice a lump like on the top of my hands painful. I’m just falling apart. Ugh! ---

The lump is at the base of wrist like left side where the thumb bone ends just notice it days ago . The same thing if I other hand but not swollen or sore.Well it is located more where the second finger bone ends on to if your hand. Hope that helps describe the spot . ---

No mine is on the top of the hand literally right before wrist bone begin equal beside where the thumb bone end on top of hand right beside that bone. Yes it hurts to press on it. ---

It is hard and yes this is the hand that is hurting . The other hand had the same bone but it isn’t swollen. What do you think? ---

LaDonna and Angel, I'm sorry for the both of you having such extreme pain in your wrists and hands. It must be pee and vinegar to do anything when your wrists hurt to move, especially if they feel like they are broken. Maybe PT might benefit you? And not the kind that makes you do gazillions of painful and useless exercises. I am having ultrasound on my elbow and it helps alot. Also having it on the other side of the elbow where the tendons hurt a lot and it's helping there too but not as much. Plus my PT person massages my sore tendons. I'm in agreement that seeing a doctor first is the best move. I know that arthritis can cause some nodules under the elbows but I don't think they form around the wrists, although I might be wrong. Angel's advice sounds good. Darned good, actually. (If only I had the energy to get up and follow it for my sore areas!) ---
