Hello all! First off, I'd like to say I hope everyone is starting 2013 off on a good note! It's been a few weeks since my last post but things have been both good and bad in my life right now. To start the year off I had a follow up on an MRI I had done the day after Christmas which this doctor tells me he can find nothing at all wrong with my neck! Really? I have had 2 MRI's both results are in my hand proofinng I have Cervical Spinal Stenosis and he wants to disagree with that. Not a problem I'll look for a second oppinion. So my search began....Anyway, I found a doctor almost 2 hours away that admitted he seen something on my MRI so he wanted a better look so I had a Myelogram (It's kind of like a spinal tap but instead of draining fluid they put dye into my spine and see if it goes to the spot I'm hurting at) last week and so I'm waiting on those results. Hopefully will have news soon.after that my wonderful and gorgeous cousin (whom I might add I basically raised as my own because of issues between her parents) gave us a new gorgeous little bundle of joy named Kylie Rae. She looks like her mommy and her Aunt Jaclyn :-) Between all this that has happened we lost a very special church member. She had been sick for about 6 years I guess and worse over the last year. She's in a better place now and isn't hurting anymore. I had to work my 12 days in a row which is beyond stresssful, but with some doctor visits I had to take a day or two off to take care of all that. Because I missed so much I wasn't able to go to the visitation or the funeral. I had to be laid up in bed for 8 hours after my myelogram so I couldn't go to the visitation. I did however, I didn't care what anyone said about it. Wanting to say my good-bye so I stopped by the church at 7:00AM (I have a key because I clean it) so I went in and said good-bye and I loved her and will miss her so much. She was such a blessing to me and my family. Anyway, in the midst of all this I finally got rid of one of my stalkers. Yes, I have 2 of them. I have such a good heart it's so hard to tell them to leave me alone but I did. I've decided if he calls or texts me again I will block his number. He lied on my last week and that was the final straw. I don't care what he does but don't say I said something I didn't say, He only likes fights and he thought I would get in a fight with his girlfriend. WRONG!!! I never wanted to be with him in the first place. Sorry! If I could ask one thing from my on-line friends. My best friend Tracy is very sick. She is a severe diabetic on dialysis and they are looking for a kidney and pancreas to transplant. She been in and out of the hospital for a week and needs prayers so if you could please remember her when you pray. She's only 29 years old had has a 9 year old daughter. It breaks my heart to know her daughter may not have her mom long. Moving on, I hope everyone has a wonderful February. Till next time Be safe, Be Health and try to smile even through the pain.
My thoughts and prayers are with your friend, Tracy. She has so much on her plate. I honestly hope that something can be done for her. It's gotta be terrifying to need transplants and not know if you can get them. Let's hope that something comes up for her.
Tired hugs,
Petunia
Pretty Lady, you have the right idea when you said you went for a second opinion. It seems as though some people just stay with the one doctor and accept whatever he/she says. We fibromites must learn to be proactive about our own health.
I am so sorry about the death of the dear lady in your Church, but you are right.......she is in a better place. It's all the people who knew her and loved her who are grieving for the loss of her.
Gentle hugs
Rachel
