Yes, this story is extremely moving. It makes you understand that no matter how bad your own situation is, it could be worse. I'm keeping up with the blog of the mother of a toddler who was hit by a tree branch after the last big hurricane. He has been badly brain damaged and has been through so many ups and downs since then. The mother's blog is so incredibly moving as she chronicles his journey, her faith and her husband's and her enormous courage. I try to understand how it is that this little boy can be such an incredible fighter at such a young age, and keeps on fighting to survive. It's unbelievably humbling, just as the story you posted is. Puts all of one's own issues and problems into a much different light.
Thank you for this posting and reminding us how unique life is to each person and how each person handles adversity differently. I certainly hope this young girl can continue to hold on...and can realize her dream of becoming a CSI examiner. What an amazing young girl! And I love how she keeps up her spirits by her studies. She's certainly showing each of us one way to continue on living and believing in ourselves, from seeing how important her studying is. I just find it so inspiring, personally.
Oh I know, I get this way too! Something like this is so heart wrenching, and I remember this every time my grand kids want to come to see me, that tomorrow is promised to no one! The most unfair thing in this world is sick children! It just should never be!
Almost all of my energy and resources go to my grandkids, trying to make their life as good as it can possibly be. Thanks for this reminder. My heart and prayers are with her and her family!
Yes as the Bible says, our lives are a vapor , so short. As I've mentioned, I do not know the girl, but my heart is very touched by her determination. Wow, I should be able to finish my degree...Well, if I would stop changing majors..
OOHHH avenk, thank you! Yes, me too. My little ole aches and pains, really??? As I've reminded folks, I don't know Kathleen, but man, what an impact! The word HOSPICE brings tears to my eyes. Oh I hope the Lord proves them wrong. In the Navajo society, when someone is diagnoised with a disease, the docter is not to tell the person what they have. The Navajo's believe that knowing the negative news will make their brain and body react in a negative manner.
You know, that's probably true on so many levels, about negative impact.
I don't know it you watch Project Runway, but they have an Indian gal on there this year who does the most beautiful things with fabric, where her ancestors worked with hide and dried plants, she has this innate talent with fabric. It would be great to see her win, and bring her craft to the world.
Awww, where is she from? I love my South West Native American friends! I wear a lot of torquoise and visit a lot of pueblos. I don't have TV, so I have limited access on the net. Ha, me and Phil watch old stuff like Twilight Zone and Dragnet.
Issues like this do move you and make you wonder why in life with a person so young but she is willing to fight so hard.
Where Doctor's have said they can do no more...they're trialing infusion's here in the UK with B&T cells which helps the Lupus destroy our bodies, they've tested them on 12 children at different ages and 10 out the 12 they've cured their Cancer.

Yes. I bet her graduation ceremony will be packed tonight! Bet it will be on the news. We are not going as we don't know her and I don't feel like the crowds But we are praying.
