Hi all, Jeez I just went out to my car to get my mail keys.. It has been a few days since I got my mail.. I noticed a big black Ford truck with a guy sitting in there writing down stuff . It gave me a weird feeling cause he was sitting across the street in front of my Neighbors house and my front living room window. I had the feeling that I have seen that truck sitting there before ... quite a few times lately. Thing is my neighbor is a single lady with two sons and has a white truck..
It struck me so as funny... then I started thinking about it. Has this man been watching and videotaping me. I live in a very small town of only 500 people so I know this is no one I know.. He stayed there for the afternoon and left about 330 pm. Shivers that is what it gave me. Would my work insurance be taping me.. Well they would not get anything but it still gives me the creeps..
Have any of you experienced anything like this!!! I almost went to the truck to ask him, but thought I had better not. Should I ask my neighbor if she knows this person???? Weird stuff is all.. Lisa
Lisa, I WOULD ask your neighbor if she has noticed this truck before, definitely. She might have observed something that you haven't or might know the reason for the truck being there.
It's also possible that the driver of the truck was writing up some work information after having visiting someone at their home. I used to do that when I was a Cremation Arranger. My car was a nice, quiet place to think.
I would NOT interact with the driver of the truck. I mean, what if hes unhinged?
I think it's possible that your work insurance co. could be watching you to see if you're out partying or doing cartwheels. Too bad that if that's the case, they'll find nothing interesting on that front.
If you feel threatened in any way, please call the police. No sense in taking any chances.
Lisa - I am SO glad you didn't make that decision to go to the truck to talk the the guy!! I can only imagine what would've happened. to you! Years ago, when I was living in California, A man parked across the street from my home at about 7am in the morning. The fact that he wasn't in front of a house, but parked off to the side made me suspicious. I just stayed in all day and kept an eye on him. Well, the hours went by and he was still there. He had his eye on my home and the home next to me. Well, I went into the other room to get the laundry and by the time I came back - there were 3 police cars lined up in front the this man's car. I couldn't resist, and HAD to look out my window. Here is the shocker - it turned out that the guy was a detective and he was to keep and eye out for a ''porn star'' who was living next door to me!! Can you believe this? This was a beautiful area with lots of kids. I am just telling you that I really worried for nothing. However, if something doesn't feel right to you, Lisa - act on it. We women have wonderful intuitions to go by. Laurie
Hi Lisa, I would call the police next time you see him. You never know, it could be criminals watching houses to see what time people leave. Insurance company’s do hire investigators to watch people. Be careful and stay safe. Leanne
Hi Lisa, wow I’m so glad you did not approach him, ask your neighbor for sure. I had one thought… When I filed an insurance claim for water damage on my kitchen ceiling, the adjuster after going around the back of my house and seeing my ceiling, sat in his car for like an hr. to write up the claim, then he told me he would also be back after I had the work done on my roof, to finish the claim. He said I didn’t have to be home that he would just drive by, see the work, write it up and then put it in my mailbox…
If he shows up again I would write down the license plate, and follow your gut… Call the police, you can do it anonymous and the police will just check him out with out even getting you involved… The guy will think the cop just stopped random
Let your neighbors know and be safe… You never know

I have not experienced this, but heard about it! Seen the videos on TV of the surveillences, so your gut feeling may be right. You know, if it were me, I'd call the cops, tell them I was being stalked! Let them sort them out. Don't even go to the neighbor. Really, find out just who they are, and who they are after! No one deserves to live in paranoia especially a woman who lives alone! I would be adamant with the cops!
Um I would get the plate number and report him....or call local law enforcement when car is there and have a car dispatched to my residence....isn't that what anyone else would do....wow...
Thanks gals I did get the plate number and the make of the truck. I am gonna see if this guy shows up tomorrow and if he does I will call law enforcement. Thanks for your support in the incident. It just really freaked me out. You are all so supportive and I thank you so much. Lisa
Did the truck return today? I got to thinking that if your area is as cold as mine, even if he had heat on in his car, it'd be very weird for him to just be sitting around in the truck, even if it were to do paperwork. So yeah, if you see him again, please call the cops.
I think he noticed that I saw him and clued in.. I did not see him today but am gonna keep my eyes peeled. I kept looking out the window at him yesterday. I tried not to, but couldn`t help it. Thanks for all your support. Lisa
