Hi all, I am new to this site and looking for a support group so to speak. I am 36 years old and was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in Nov 2015. I have had Rheumatoid Arthritis since I was a child as a result of Rheumatic Fever. I have had flares and times where I feel absolutely amazing and wonder if I am even in need of care or meds. It’s usually when I start thinking I am “healed” that I have a flare. Last week was the worst, I woke up and could not move my left leg. My hubby had to help me to the restroom and I was in such bad pain. I go to the doctor on Friday because they want to run some additional test.
I take Cymbalta and Gabapentin. Both have helped me. I am moving to almost 100% clean eating and no artificial anything. I used to be an avid runner, and can still go 3 miles 3x week when I feel okay. I work full-time and my employer has been amazing through this process. I am looking for ways to heal and ways to understand what is happening to my body.
Thanks for letting me join the group.
