I had no idea there were 5 types of fibro. I will look into it. It may help me win my disability case. And it would b great to know more so I can help others.
I'm glad you found this site. It has helped me so much too. All the best with your care team.

shelley
where did you hear there are 5 types of Fibro Sunflower72?
ugh i wish i could help you
i have the same exact symptoms !
i live on long islannd though
Thanks Aiana.
So unfortunate for so many of us to have a constant FLARE up. Any pain is horrible. I absolutely hate to see people in pain because I know what pain is and leaving with constant pain is becoming unbearble. When I hear myself say my symptoms outloud I feel like I am crazy I can only imagine what others think.
I am so tired of my 70yr old mother bad mouthing me and talking me down. She says she understands and feels for me but when I telll her I am not wel enough to participate in something she says things like " you are going to be sick forever get over it and just deal with the pain"
The truth is you ARE sick and might be sick forever with this awful illness, and it's a shame that your mother doesn't get it. And "deal with the pain?" Really? If thousands upon thousands of fibro sufferers haven't figured out a way to "deal with the pain," how are you supposed to be able to? You are no different than any of the rest of us who are confounded by the pain and just do our very best to "deal with it." I think you, and the rest of us, do a darned good job of dealing with it, considering it's chronic and never relents. I remember working with a woman whose husband was in chronic pain. He was miserable and mean and always bit people's heads off. I'm proud to NOT be like him despite the pain, and neither are you. You ARE dealing with it, and in a very good way.
It's a shame that some people don't get it and have no interest in getting it. They surely would if it were them!
Here here! Petunia you must be the greatest "mother" on this site. Thanks for all the wisdom, insight, humour, information, strength and support! You're an absolute star and we're all so lucky to have you in our lives xx
I didn’t know there were dif types? I never feel all the way good but I have flares where I will be in bed for days sleeping n in pain.
Oh thank you JOsephina
gentle hugs your way.
You ladies are saving my heart from pain. I thank you deeply and am so blessed to have found understanding, empathy and strength from strong women like yourselves.
I know I am grumpy but normally I am a happy person at least I used to be. I don't like the new person I am because it is a far cry from the outgoing active woman I once was but I do try my best to stay strong and keep smiling through the pain.

Me too. I am grumpy a lot of the time, and here I can relate to all of you and not feel like a "weird" outsider. I used to be happy go lucky and now I have to put on a mask most of the time. On good days I push myself so hard to do things that the next day I'm so tired I'm a grouch.
Bless you all, Let's keep holding each other up!!! xo
Me too, Leenie. I'm dreading the winter, as many more bad days will come.
