No more meds?!

I’m sorry you’re going through such a tough time. I have been med free (apart from some light sleeping pills) for a few years now. I found everything else had way worse side effects that just weren’t worth it since they made me bed-ridden. I’m still unable to work, however I am able to do semi-normal things at home such as chores and hobbies when I’m having an okay day. Im hoping to try CBD oil in the future but for now it’s too expensive. Also I do have panadeine fort for when the pain gets unbearable (maybe a few times a month). So its doable, though everyone is different, and if you want to safely reduce your meds and see how it goes, I say go for it

If a dr makes you feel like that because you need help…sounds like you need a new dr…not less meds…and i am hoping you are not trying cold turkey, cause the rebound effect can be bad…

Hi Stacrj03, wish I could offer some help, like you I don’t take meds, I am unable to stomach the strong painkillers the doctor says is all she can give me. I have tried various and all methods of self help people have come up with-this site has great, helpful people. Unfortunately I haven’t found anyhting that helps. Apart from the fibro and IBS and arthritis have now been told I have osteoporosis in the spine! Being senior (have just turned 70) I just wish there was some magic pill maybe that would help us all cope with it.
Take care, stay cheerful, and keep smiling as much as you can.
