Ouch! Everything hurts

Thank you Debnted,

It is so helpful to have the input from so many people sharing their experiences with me. I don't know if I can get long term disability. My fibromyalgia doctor told me she will not recommend that I stop working. She said according to her sources they say people with fibromyalgia should stay active and keep working. As for the foot problems...I don't know. I am glad to know that if I collect unemployment it will probably make it harder to get SSD. I didn't realize that.

Good luck with your case and thanks for all the great advice!

Gentle hugs,

Darcy

Hi Purplebutterfly,

I am seeing my doctor tomorrow and plan to discuss my options with him. Fortunately my husband has been very supportive lately. He says my health comes first and we will do whatever it takes to get by.

Thanks and God Bless,

Darcy

I’m in this same situation. I went on Short term disability in May, that ran out in early October and I tried to go back to work. I made it two weeks and then had a major flare that put me in bed. My company is wanting me to go on long term, but this of course means my employment ends. I make $18.00 hr and have excellent bemefits! I don’t want to give up, but I don’t think I can work. My job is sedentary, but very mentally taxing. The fibro fog is my worst problem besides the pain.

Ask your foot dr about PRP injections. I had severe planters fasciatis and my foot dr did the injections and what a world of a difference they made.

LTD where I am from doesn’t necessarily mean termination. But it can also be HUGE for SSDI, my husbands company paid to get him on it. I am going through the process right now. You are better going on LTD than being fired or quilting.

Hugs
Deb
