People thinking you're not trying, thinking you're just being lazy, blaming you

Wow you guys are really making me fill up with tears. I'm so sorry that your mum is the female incarnation of my dad. Luckily for me though I don't have to see him and hear the same crap any more that you must get from your mum. There is no excuse for some peoples cruelty to others and making them feel that low. You can educate them for years and they will still be just as ignorant. Trust me on this. The stress is certainly not helping you or your illness whatsoever so moving one way or another is the best thing for you. I'm not sure of the systems over there but I'm sure you can continue your education and get financial support to live in somewhere less hostile. Don't take any grief from anyone but also don't wear yourself down trying to fight constantly. They will be going for years after you burn out and will play on that fact.Keep in touch and your friends on here will be so valuable to your happiness and health. Good luck sweetie!!

Rachel, I hope that things are getting better for you, that somehow something will click with your Mom and make it possible for you to have a loving, compassionate relationship. Do all you can to reach out to her, it is very difficult for loved ones to accept that you are unwell.

Sending you very big hugs!

SK

What side effects are you having? And you can get up to 450mg with the Lyrica, so if you can handle it, you may eventually not need anything except for flare ups!
