Rheumatic disease defined

It is debatable as to whether Fibromyalgia is a Rheumatic disease, so here is some information on the subject. On my questionairre I complete each visit to the Rheumatologist, some questions are if we had 'growing pains', Rheumatic fever, and many other things that were dismissed back when most of us were children. This info is fed into a data base and sent to the American board of Internal Medicine/Rheumatology. Autoimmune diseased falls under this umbrella.

I must be more tired than I think because I only saw a brief entry on it...but as I said, I'm exhausted so probably whizzed right by it.

I frankly wonder how many people with fibro DO NOT have an autoimmune disease or do not border on having one. Seems like the number is fairly slim...I always think of your rheumatologist's definition of fibro and always wonder what's cooking in our bodies to bring out the fibro pain?
