Tendonitis

HHi All,Maybe someone can help went to the doctors on tue can hardly walk back hips exc so much pain she did a x ray says its tendonitis very bad in my hips may be from the fribo anyone had this? wants me to go in for a shot hmm, what can i do at home for this Thanks Hugs to all

I've not had tendonitis in my hips, Bet, only in my elbow and probably my knees.

Your x-ray didn't show any arthritis, did it?

Next question: are you hypermobile? In other words, do you have joints in your body that extend past their normal range of movement? The reason I ask is that people who are hypermobile can get a lot of pain in their hypermobile joints in later years, and some joints can become dislocated partially or entirely. My hips have done that in the past and it was terribly uncomfortable.

I'm just curious to know how your doctor made her diagnosis of tendonitis in the hips. This probably sounds like a stupid question but are there (m)any tendons in the hips?

I just had physical therapy for the tendonitis in my elbow. It helped one side but made the other side much sorer. So I'm not sure whether to recommend it or not.

Did your doctor offer any suggestions for treatment of the tendonitis?

Sorry for all of the questions, Bet. I'm just curious and a bit stumped here.

That was a good article, Angel.

Hi Petunia Girl, Not hypermobile as far as I know, had to look up for myself if there is tendons around the hips sure is.The doctor had x rays done and she tendonits. Her nurse called back today I can not get in for a injection till Feb,hmmm, I see a rheumatologist he has given me shots before for my back, she tells me that the shots need to be done by a radiologist with the help of a x ray hmm the other doctor did not use x ray .Think after the 1 of the year will look for another doctor last 2 times i saw her she was just in a big hurry would not listen just send me to another doctor. Have a pain free day Hugs to you

Hi angelonearth,Great read on hip tendonitis thanks for the link. pain free day to you Hugs

HI SK Thanks for the link.pain free day to you.Hugs

Thanks Bet! Hope that you are well today. We have so much to deal with. It sounds crazy that I can have so many things wrong with me. There are few posts made that I do not personally relate to, and everytime I greet a new member and read their profile of how they were once strong and capable, a tear of knowing falls from my eye! This even brings down us 'tough cookies', it knows no boundaries!

After my last car accident, that kicked all of this up, my Chiropractor had told me that with injury and trauma, the tendons, and ligaments shrink, and cause problems and pain.

Warm baths or showers are small comforts, they always seem to help!

Wishing you well,

SK
