Treating Fibromyalgia Syndrome

I struggle with heat and cold and get very hypersensitive to either at different times I struggle in damp wet weather any ideas what I could do without using to much heat or cold and where can I get Epsom salts from? Holly

Holly, most pharmacies or sometimes grocery stores sell Epsom salt. It tends to come in a milk carton. In Summer to prevent overheating I drink lots of cool water. They make cooling scarves as well that runners and people with MS use that are great for us Fibro folk. Just search “cooling scarves” on internet. For staying warm I tend to take the warm Epsom baths when I get home out of the cold. I also swear by my Northface Arctic Parka for outdoor Wintertime protection as well as polar fleece hats. Good luck and stay warm/cool!
Hugs.

Auburnm,

I am new to the site/diagnosis and I just want to send a huge THANK YOU for this info. This has been more than docs and hospitals could provide me with. until now, I have received extremely vague and overwhelming negative info about Fibro, so again thanks for taking the time to reach out to spoonies like me and offer education & support that otherwise may have been lacking!

Hello Auburnm,
Thank you for a awesome treatment plan! I really learned a lot from reading your post! I’m so sorry for what you are dealing with. Because fibromyalgia isn’t something I would wish on my worst enemy. Thanks again, you have a blessed and awesome day!
