# What comforts you?

Hi everyone, I was curious as to what things bring you comfort when you are feeling low, either physically, emotionally, mentally or spiritually?I was feeling sad this morning because I get lonely. Then my daughter called and asked if I could watch her dog (a beautiful Lab) because she wanted to go out of town all day with her boyfriend. I said yes and I'm glad I did! I've had the best time with Candy all day. She made me forget my lonely and depressed mood. Just hugging her and kissing that sweet face has made me feel so much better. So, what does it for YOU? Aren't pets great? We have 3 guinea pigs, and no matter how lousy I feel or how rotten my mood is, those little pigs will crack me up.
My 7 year old son is a character and I enjoy spending time with him.
When all else fails, my heated throw makes me feel better. Oh, and Ben &Jerry's Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough ice cream. :D

Great question and great experience you've shared with us!
For me, it's my doggies. They all snuggle in with me with their warm little bodies.
My computer comes next, as it keeps me in touch with the real world.

luvjc77, That's a good question. Talking to my kids of course is the best, but if Im down a little I'll text my daughter pic please and in a few minutes I get a picture of my grand daughter and that just does me in lolShe has my heart. Oh must not forget my hubby's hugs... Have a great night :)

My cat, Tawny is my biggest comfort. She is always with me at home as she is a one person cat. She loves me no matter what and is not too angry If I can't get up to feed her if I am in too much pain. Also, at night she leans next to me and the heat from her body feels good. Gentle Hugs, Tawnycat

I agree with you guys...animals always make people feel better. My daughter picked her dog up about an hour ago and I was sad to see her go....that fur ball will be missed! I'll now have to turn to my second comfort choice, hot cocoa with lots of marshmallows!

I saw this post and I was really puzzled… I thought… Idk what comforts me and that was a troubling consideration… I need to know the answer to this… Besides food! Being in bed with a good book in loose Jammie’s and a hot cup of tea is comforting!

I too find comfort in my 3 year old mixed lab, Kirby. He’s my 70 lb. shadow who sleeps with me and thinks he’s a lap dog! He seems to know when I’m not feeling well or am sad. Dogs intuition.
My favorite comfort is my 2 1/2 year old granddaughter, Kenadee Grace, who knows exactly what to say to make Nannie feel better.
Another comfort I yearn for on a nightly basis is SLEEP! It doesn’t always come my way, but is much appreciated when it does!
