Always tired and don't want to be!

Hi Rachel. It's really nice to see you here again. I was really shocked when you left because this baby is partially yours, due to your longevity here. Plus you were probably also a founding member of the fibro board. I really miss seeing the old faves here, like you and SK and others. Please send me an email here because I'd love to talk to you more.

That's right, James!

Thanks!! I can really say the Lyrica seems to be working as the pain is not constant, but more sporadic and I mainly just have the tingly/electrical sensations in my arms/shoulders. I still get tired quickly and legs/knees hurt when walking but one step at a time! The fatigue has reduced tremendously and I actually somewhat feel like a real person again!

Hugs!

Hey James, it's good to hear that your doctor has upped your Lyrica dose. That stuff is worth its weight in gold! I mean, it doesn't take all of the pain away but it makes it somewhat more manageable. And I suspect that you will feel less tired with some pain reduction.

My fibro pain has increased over the past 6 months and I am on the highest dose of Lyrics. I find the fatigue more annoying than the pain. I am so darned glad you started this discussion! It came just when I needed it! So thank you ever so much! And I am happy to hear that you now have a higher dose of Lyrica. Hopefully that'll help some.

Hugs,

Petunia

So I thought I would share an update.....

I FINALLY got my doctor to see things from my point of view (somewhat). In addition to the Lyrica, he put me on Cymbalta, a muscle relaxer(LIORESAL), and an anti-inflammatory(CATAFLAM).

So far the combination is helping, but I am coming to a realization that stopping the pain may be out of reach as much as controlling the pain. At this point, controlling the pain is sufficient! He is going to monitor me for the next few months and said I can increase my Lyrica as needed as I am currently taking 125mg per day right now. So we'll see!
