Anyone try meloxicam (Mobic)?

I visited my physician today. My pain levels have been rising and I am having trouble with my hip. She prescribed me meloxicam to see if that would help. I know this a prescription NSAID. I’m always a little leery of new prescriptions and I was wondering if any of you have tried this drug and had good/ bad experiences.

Thanks!

Hi Laurie

I was on meloxicam for about a year and it worked great I did have to eat before taking it. It has been one of the best meds I have found and was not to costly when i took it. I stopped taking it after a reaction I startedd developing a rash. My mother has taken it for over 2 years and hasn't had any problems with it and says it still works great for her. Let us know how it works for you.

Hi . I have heard it works well for some people . I have a lot of GI issues so I stay away from anti-inflammatory meds except for Celebrex since it is gentler on the GI system . All the best

I tried it, was on it for 2 weeks and developed Erythema Nodosum (Sounds like something from Harry Potter) I went through testing to find out what it was. Symptoms present as Congestive heart failure. Legs swelled up, started to bruise. Cure for the problem was steroids and drop the medicine like a bad habit. which I did

I’ve taken Meloxicam and I had good results. Nothing drastic happened, but I did feel a bit better. No side effects except I noticed after taking showers my hair was falling out a bunch. I’m not sure if it was the Meloxicam, but I stopped because of that. I started taking tons of supplements including Mitocore vitamins, 10,000 mg of vitamin C, 10,000 IU of vitamin D3, 1 MK2, 2 omega 3-Fish oil tabs, Greens Pak by Trace Miberals, Teaspoon of Silver Colloidal, and lastly Vit B12. Drink tons of water and don’t touch caffeine or red meat or any processed foods. Eat lots of greens and plenty of Seafood and Chicken. I just realized there’s FMS supplements that say you don’t have to take but one pill a day. Most reviews are good. I’ll invest on a $75 bottle and try it for 30 days to see if it’s helpful. What I’m doing now has improved my health tremendously. I sleep like a baby and my chronic pain is more like soreness not unbearable pain. I can function and on my good days I feel like superwoman. I was at a very low point and desperate to get better. I met with a nutritionist who explained that I had a very low immune system and concentrate on the symptoms. He recommended all the supplements and so far I keep feeling better. It’s miraculous to me, I thought my active quality life was over. I’m slowly gaining everything I had before I had my FMS symptoms. I had to go through drastic measures and I also have to sleep at least 9-10 hrs per night to feel refreshed. Anyone try the FMS supplements? If so, did they help any? Thank you!
