I work from 8-5 M-Fr, and give my all to get through the day. I havew a desk job that can go from 0-200 in a moment and no control. With 3 kids 10 and under by the time I get home i'm finding I rarely have anything left to give more than a snuggle as I fall asleep.
It's not fair to them or my husband. But as most families do we need both incomes to make ends meet. I am an Avon lady but without any energy after my JOB, i'm not very good at it. I have great ideas and know how to do it but not the energy.
I'm open to any suggestions on how to document or what to document so that my PCP and I have proof of disability. My company pays 100% of the cost of short and long term disability so that would be the only way I could afford to leave. And I have been through the SSD system with other family members so I know how long it takes.
I don't want to miss out on my kids growing up just so I can provide, if there are other options. Thanks in advance.
Hi . Just a short note and response as to the medical proof one would need . One is to have been going to the doc with your complaints and having been diagnosed and of course having it written in your charts .
I wish you all the best .

Thank you. As things seem to get worse, I feel like I will be out of work before spring. I'm just worried that our short and long term disability carrier will not want to approve my claim since I have only been diagnosed since September.

I think that’s a great idea, Suzie. And Samantha I definitely relate to a great degree with what you are going through. I wish you all the best. Wish I had a good bit of advice to offer, I just want to encourage you to hang in there.
Blessings and prayers.
Keep a daily journal that you can show to doctors. Also your short term disability may have it where you can have a week a month of instead of all at one time. I just finished my long term disability Make sure you know the fine print with your polocy.
I completely understand what you are going through. The best thing would be to talk to your doctor and let them know how bad it is. If your medical insurance is through your work you’ll loose that once you quit as well as your income. Then you wont be able to see your doctor which will make your life harder. Also try working something out with your job and let them know you’re having a hard time and you’re trying to get help but for now you’re doing the best you can. Hope that helps. Big hugs
THank you. I have begged for help at work because it is just too much. In the past couple of weeks They finally see how exausted I am and overloaded, and I have a few people that I can go to and ask if they have time to help me out. I am currently on my husbands insuance because his plan covered better for the group of doctors we all see. At this point I'm worried that I will make a mistake and they will use it to let me go before having time to see if the Cymbalta is going to help, and if not for me to file for disability.

If you are in the US, make sure that you go to the HR department and find out their policies and get forms for FMLA. Get those completed by your doc STAT. This will protect your job while you figure out what you need to do. Find out how long you need to be employed to take advantage of those disability policies. Read all the fine print.
I took off on STD last Nov. 2014 I then planned to continue onto LTD, but my last STD in June 2014 and then the LTD claims were denied. It was because I did not have enough documentation. Make sure to see your doc monthly. If he recommends seeing a specialist, see them often as well. If they recommend meds, at least try them. Report back with problems, or successes, or ones that just don't work. Be in very frequent communicaation with your care team. STD was always pretty easy to get, in my experience, but keeping it for more than a few weeks is more difficult. The burden of proof rests on you and your docs. I finally built enough notes, tests, and visits to file my appeal, which was pretty quickly approved, but my husband and I went 7 months on one income.
Good luck. The motto for disability application aught to be, "More is more". Flood them with paperwork and notes.
