Steph. Asthma is an immune/allergy reaction and unless it is very severe to the point where u always or easily get an attack, u should be ok. The drgs can decrease the number of times you breath in a minute but would not trigger asthma
Ladies. I like being able to offer advice but since I do not know your cases personally, please run these things past the doc.
Warmly
Maria
i will discuss this with the dr i just wanted to know what the likely hood was. if it was high then i wasnt going to ask to be put it. i will stil discuss it with the dr.
thank you very much for all your help.
I was on Lyrica and it didn't help. Plus I gained 45 mystery pounds. When I went off the Lyrica, I resumed my normal weight. Maybe it will work better for you than it did for me.
The biggest improvement for sleep was when the rheumy told me to try taking the Cymbalta at bedtime instead of the morning. What time are you taking it? That might make a difference.
I was also put on gabapentin (generic neurontin), and immediately felt relief from spinal pain. The cause of the pain will determine the med, as you probably well know. I had an MRI which showed amazing sources of spinal pain that I would never have guessed. That's why the gabapentin works so well -everything flares there first, irritating the nerves.
Have you considered a rheumatologist? Primary care doctors are good, but no one can learn every aspect of every specialty. Many of us have found rheumatologists to be most helpful in adjusting meds.
Meanwhile, I am sending you gentle hugs filled with comfort.
when i made this appt 2 weeks ago i was going in just to get my test results from my lupus test. i was mad cause i didnt want to waste money just to get test results. well i should not have said anything cause now i am sick again. i have a bad cough and lots of sinus pressure along with the migraine thats been going on for a few weeks now.
please pray that this dr gives me something to help with all this pain right now. i just started a fibro flare and the worse part of it is this horriable leg pain. the drs do not like to hand out any type of pain meds so i am not sure what to expect. my appt is not till 3pm. i wiil get on after that and let u know what happens.
thank u so much. i do take my cymbalta before bed but doesnt seem to help with the sleep. right now i cant see a rhemy dr cause i dont have medical insurance. i will hopefully get my disability with in the next few months and then i wiill be able to see one. till all i can do is got to the clinic that only charges me $20 a visit.
Hi Mike, could you tell me what Endep is? Sounds interesting, I'm always looking for something better. Thanks, Charlie :)
Hi Stephanie, I was on Lyrica for a few months, it didn't help the pain. I had no side effects from it, and no withdrawel when I stopped. I'm now on Cymbalta, (150mg/day) it helps some, and I don't have any side effects with that either. I hope you get the answers you need. Have a better day! Charlie :)
I can appreciate the difficulty. Even with medical insurance I am going broke! I would suggest not wasting your $ on Lyrica. There are too many people who have reported problems with it. Have you tried gabapentin? It's the only one that has helped me at a significant level.
Prayers are in effect! When is your appointment?
well the dr i saw today was not the one i usually see at the clinic. she did give the refills i needed but nothing to help with the fibro. i was told to come back and see the dr who i see most of the time.
my test for lupus was negative but i know i can have several negative before a positive.
i do however have an upper resportiory infection and a sinus infection. my asthma got pretty bad today. i think i am just ready for bed.
