Yes, a steam clear works well on just about everything, except maybe wood. Vinegar water for wood, with a not too wet mop.
I'm amazed to know that home made fabric softener is just hair conditioner, vinegar, and hot water! I pay a fortune for unscented fabric softener! I use Dreft laundry soap, as recommended to my husband by a dermatologist from George Washington University hospital, he said it is the only laundry soap that does not take all of the moisture out of the clothing, which is important for those with eczema or psoriasis. This has helped my husband and grandsons with their skin conditions, that and changing the bath soap to Aveno for sensitive skin.
BTW, for anyone who uses Aveno packets of Oatmeal for their bath, you can use quick oats ground on your blender for the same thing, it is about a thousand times less money!
I can't tolerate the smell of vinegar, so I am not able to use it. I do use baking soda or "Bartender's Friend" (also fragrance free & no scratches) on counters, bathrooms, etc.
I wish I could use vinegar. So many people say it works. I tried it and immediately started to wheeze. Aw, Nuts!
Good to know. I'm guessing I would have to be very careful where the tile kitchen meets the laminate floor in the family room. Thanks for the tip and the warning. I am seriously considering saving up for a steam cleaner.

Here is some great info about using peroxide as a cleaning agent. Someone had mentioned it and you would be amazed how many nurses and dental hygenists use it in their home for just about everything!
This is what i do, rather have people do.
It's always good to find out what other people do. I appreciate the chance to learn and get new ideas! No worries.... :)
Steam mop should be fine from tile to laminate. It only puts out a smidge of steam and dries super fast.
