After a year of going to all these different dr’s mri’s lyrica, cymbalta, prioxicam, voltaten, flexeril, tizandine, gabapentin, trazadone, skelakin, and I’m sure there’s more. I found relief. I’ve been feeling hopeless that there is no end to this in sight, in horrible pain, and not sleeping my mental health has declined. I feel like no dr will help me. I felt abandoned by our medical system. I was thinking I was in a third world country because how could all these doctors let me be in such pain. My wife would cry wondering who was going to help with the kids, I went to a shrink to give that a shot, he put me on Klonopin yesturday and within a hour I felt better. I slept like a baby and woke up refreshed for the first time in God knows how long, my muscles aren’t tight, I feel like my old self, pain is also less. Yes I know this stuffs addicting but the relief I felt was worth it, I don’t know what my rheumatologist will say about this cause she won’t petscrible norco, tramadol, because she says it “doesn’t work on fibro” and that her traing says that no patent can use responsibly. She graduated med school 6 years ago. If she doesn’t like it I’ll find a new doctor. Because after 20 different medications and 20k in medical bills I was still in horrible pain, I’m glad I stumbled across this because I was at wits end in my life. This gives me hope when all was lost a year ago, I feel blessed tonight and look forward to walking down my stairs in the morning to enjoy breakfast with the kids, they are going to love it cause I haven’t done this since I got sick. All this dr had to go is give me this a year ago and I wouldn’t be on the verge of my family leaving me
Hi Tony,
This is great to hear : ) I am so glad you found relief with this medication. I also have a similar story, but the medication that helped my chronic fatigue and mood is Escitalopram (anti-depressant). I still have pain but the chronic fatigue was the biggest worry for me. I can relate to that feeling of a renewed sense of hope and a more positive outlook on life.
Cheers!
Sara
Hi Tony, I am really happy that you got a great night sleep, that can help in so many ways. It sounds like the Klonopin is a good medication for you. I am glad you kept trying until you found a medication that worked. Please keep us updated on how you are doing. Hugs.
Hi Tony
This is wonderful. Remember to take it easy and not over do it.
I’m taking it easy and enjoying my kids today! Thanks for reminder not to over do it!!
