Hope you feel better soon. Take it easy and stay hydrated. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

To make you feel better, I am including a picture of how wonderful I looked during my last spell I wrote about above. This picture was taken to send to my daughter showing her how I was feeling. This picture was taken about four seconds after turning on the light and two seconds before a big sneeze hit. If I ever become a middle age male model, I will use this picture as part of my portfolio.

Oh, my dear SK, I am sending lots of hugs, cups of e-tea, and prayers of healing. Be careful and take your time to heal. The flu is nasty.

Please know that you are within all our prayers and we thank you for all you have done for this community. I rewrote a little something for you which I wrote a long time ago for a very dear friend. Somehow it seemed very fitting at this moment, and I hope it reflects the feelings of those here who may not have the words.

We wrote a letter to God today, and we know He must have heard. We wrote it with our lonely hearts, and did not speak a word. We used your love as our pen, and our paper was your smile. With feelings true, and thoughts so pure, it was crafted with love and style. After we finished the very last line, we stood and walked to our bed. We searched for flaws and tiny mistakes, now listen to what it had said:
Our dearest Lord we come to you, as humbly as we can, and what we write, within these words, we pray you guide our hand. Now we have asked you many times, for things we truly don't need, but what we feel for her our Lord, is truly love indeed. Lord grant the desires of her heart, and watch her night and day. Guide her in your heavenly light, and lift her as only you may. Protect her Lord while she's alone, and bless her with your touch. Oh dear Lord please hear our prayer, because she means so much.
We know the Angels must have heard, cause when we opened our eyes, there was a letter addressed to us, from Heaven at our side. We opened it with our trembling hands, and wider grew our eyes. Then we read what it had said, for this was the Lords reply:
My dearest ones, you need not wonder, or doubt our love for you. My Angels delivered this gift of love, to prove our love is true. Don't you worry when your away, she knows how much you care, and when you feel her hearts alone, know that I'll be there.
We closed the letter and started to cry, and not because we were blue, but for the joy of knowing God, gifted us with you...
-Your loving Friends...
PRAYERS TO YOU, Love and Light Dear SK! Get better fast!

Hey everybody! Thanks for all of the well wishes! Up and around some today, even outside a few minutes, but not a great deal of energy, yet! This seems like a combo of flu, hayfever/allergies, and as usual the start of bronchitis. Luckily the Rheumatologist INSISTED I have antibiotics on hand at home at all times since he is now certain that the Enbrel is now working to lower my immune system and slow down the Psoriatic Arthritis. So that means I have started a course of 40 Omnicef. So by the time those are empty, I should be totally cleared of just about everything that this could be!
Word back on the bone density test is Osteoopenia, so no surgery. At least not now. I am to pick up a script for Fosamax. I'll be seeing my DC next week to talk about increasing and possibly changing my calcium intake. Also have a good word from allergic for AlgeaCal. Will be checking that out!
Thanks for posting this Renie, I'm sure everyone has been wondering what's up and where I've been! Thanks to all of you for the support, loved all of the stuff. NO CABBAGE SOUP though, Marc! I'm not a cabbage type of gal, honey! And yes, your photo looked like I've looked! Surely!
Love you guys!
SK
Wow, I didn't see this thread until just now. My heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to SK! And she's so very, very stoic, so you know that if she admits to suffering that she's really feeling BAD.
SK, I hope you can show the flu your regular moxie and kick its butt! I know that right now it's probably kicking yours but keep your fighting spirit up so you can have the last laugh on it! I surely do miss you when you're not here. It's much too quiet without you.
I know you can't take the Embrel when you're flu-ridden, which will certainly make you feel worse. So please don't push yourself, take it easy until you're well again.
Hugs, tea and flowers,
Petunia
Hi Pet,
Oh yes, still taking it! Not gonna stop now! Make sure you read my post above this to get the latest! Thanks for the well wishes!
Hope you are well, Pet!
Hugs,
SK
HI SK - welcome back! SO happy to hear you are feeling a little bit better. You still have your sense of humor, so I am relieved. Has this flu you have been going around where you live? I get the flu shot every year, but I have to say, it doesn't always work. I have noticed that now that I am older, flu hits me hard - and takes much longer to get rid of. Misery loves company when I have it and all I can do is stay in bed and drink a lot of soup and liquids. Also, a terrible mood sets in and I become the B.... of Reno, Nevada!! LOL Hugs! Laurie
Just read it and am SO glad you're doing better! I knew you'd kick its butt!!!
Hey, I'm glad y ou can still take your meds. That's a big relief. And how wonderful to know that the Embrel's working and slowing down the PsA! That's nothing short of a miracle, given the ugliness of that illness. And hey, good news again that your bone density test only showed osteopenia. That's great!!! Really great. You must have felt so much relief to hear it. So maybe the Embrel can keep it at the current level.
Looks like you have much to be happy about, thus your chipper mood. Good!
Hugs,
Petunia
