Wow We have a lot in common. The 6 months in bed and the gluten allergy. I don’t like the East coast weather much either and think eventually I will move to a better climate.

I spent the first 6 months in bed as well. I was being diagnosed at the time but could barely move. It takes some time to get a grip on it and then figure out how to get through a day with it. Weather seems to be the biggest trigger for me. I’ve noticed some foods (gluten) make it worse as well. Pittsburgh weather is doing me in. I might have to move elsewhere.
I saw this and had not commented so why not. I often here people say that they do not have flare ups. That may mean that your pain level is pretty high and can't go much higher. I am sorry for that. Since or collagen and connective tissue is made wrong from the beginning, the elastic in it that is supposed to spring back in veins and tendons and even muscles just doesn't. I rather imagine it has a hard time expanding also.. or expands and can't get back. I have studied a great deal the effects of barometric pressure on the human body and how positive pressure really upsets most illnesses with pain in joints and headaches, water retention, etc. prior to a storm or especially before a low pressure system and sometimes before a high. When people have higher pain levels I often here them saying I must have done to much or I am paying for yesterday ... or I am so stressed. For me and I can only talk about my body... I proved all that wrong. Generally when I hear that in a chat room or with friends, I go straight to www.weather.com and see what is going on in the upper atmosphere arround them. Those positive ions are almost always the culprit... we arelike two same ends of the batteries... the clash will happen and the electrical connection will not be made. We must find some negative energy.. like under a stream of flowing water, down by the ocean, or near a waterfall... even a cool shower. Moving to the desert of Peru for 5 years and having no symptoms afterwards in the non-barometric pressure dry Sechura desert, walking out of a wheelchair .... I stopped all flares. We may not be able to change the amino acid sequence that is happening in our bodies. But we sure can get away from the barometric pressure lows that put our body in trauma. That is what a flare-up is to me. Apart from the wind and positive ions... I don't have any others. I am sorry you suffer. A cure is on the way, I am sure of it. Stem Cells will correct the errors.
