THANK YOU EVERYOEN OF YOU THAT HAVE RESPONDED! it WILL be #42 surgery once they place my pump thanks for telling me my pump is covered...on top of Spina Bifida and hHdrocephalus(water on the brain that requires a shunt) i also have Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), Scolioses (where they had to put in rods then 9 months later had to take out), Acid Reflux, Renal Reflux (that require i cath from a hole on the side of my stomache) I get dehydrated easy often and quick..and when that happens i have low blood pressure issues, because of all the brain and nuerological damage done that cant be undone im legally blind in my right high with the strongest perscription of trifocals and now completely blind other then i can tell light but no images) and have been in overall pain for going on 10yrs after my ceptic shock that put me in a coma 10yrs this december and had docs say i couldnt b in pain to going to ER and having the on-call docs call me an addict behind my back and goive me meds and send me home crying and screaming in pain ive also had docs take one look at me and then walk me out and tell the reeptionist to destroy my file so thjey do nt get in trouble wich i KNOW is illigal! FINALLY i had a friend send me to the doc who figgured it out ON THE FIRST VISIT 5MINUTES AFTER TALKING TO ME LOL
Oh Corinne, it hurts my heart to hear the way you have been treated by different doctors. That is very disrespectful. But thankfully you finally found a doctor who figured it all out in the first five minutes! Praise God.
It sounds as though you are pretty much blind in both eyes due to all the neurological damage that has been done, damage which cannot be reversed.
I noticed when I came here to read your entry that your name was in the Chat Room. I have chosen to not take part in Chat Rooms.
But what I am wondering is how you are able to read and write if you are legally blind? You must have some special software which helps you do this. Am I right?

Thank God you found that doctor, Cori! No one should ever be treated that way. It's totally unacceptable. You can report those doctors !! (I'm vindictive like that! )

I can't even phathom what you have endured! It is just an overload to try to comprehend! Hope you can keep this present DR and he will care for and respect you as you certainly deserve! I hope the pain pump is a success for you, I cannot imagine how anyone could percieve you NOT being in pain!
So glad you finally got to a decent dr. I have an ileostomy and get dehydrated easily. I have spent numerous weeks in the hospital getting sodium, potassium, magnesium, manganese, etc. It is not fun. I hate what you are going through, but I wish you
the least amount of pain possible sweetie. Let us know.
