Normal brain on left compared to FM brain and a CFS brain. On March 14, 2012 on Dr. Oz, they showed a similar brain scan and he explained what it means. The scan he showed, showed the parts of the brain that feel pain are highly active, making pain more intense. There is 5x more substance P (for pain) in our brain than a normal brain. As that pain stays active 24/7, it causes other parts of the brain to burn out, which is what my picture shows, areas of the brain that are damaged and don't work anymore. Proof that it's a real and disabling condition, and I'm glad Dr. Oz said so. Some ladies in the audience cried and he asked them why and they said they actually thought they were going nuts or just acting lazy or all the insults their ignorant doctors told them, and now there is proof that it's real.
Yes, I saw this on Facebook the other night; maybe now these drs. will view it as a REAL condition and not something just "made up". I was very happy to see this because this disorder is very rough, disheartening for me, since I cannot function normally most of the time. Hopefully there will be more treatment options coming soon.
I'm so relieved that this has helped someone else as much as it helped me. I could have been comforted for at least a decade more if I had known this. I actually dd show it to my cruel in-laws. They just rolled their eyes and nothing changed. Thankfully, as soon as another severely painful condition came along, hubby left, and I got to move away from 20 years of torment from inlaws.

When he cheated he took her to gatherings.His brother and mother knew,
I was devastated at the time now I am grateful.I’ve since had another guy leave me for his youngest
son.He wasn’t divorced and she moved his son to another state.He ended up not seeing him at all.

However, I'm still glad I'm away from her and away from someone who didn't love me, though I thought he did.
Isn't it funny if we tell people what our own doctors say, they are still skeptical and critical of us, but they see Dr. Oz on TV, and THEN they believe it?
I just hope all the nasty, critical people in my life saw the show on their own- if I sent it to them, they would just delete it. I'm just glad to be validated, like you said.
Just a couple of years ago, the top virus Dr. in the US, Dr. Nancy Klimas, also found that PEOPLE WITH FIBRO AND CFS HAVE A VIRUS CALLED XMRV. There is only one place right now that can test for it, insurance doesn't cover it Researchers are now working on an anti-virus for it, like was created for others like AIDS, Epstein Barre, the flu, and others. Some say there is no use traveling and getting the test if there's no remedy yet, but I think there is. Another form of validation, so ignorant doctors and rude bosses and relatives can realize it's real. My favorite source for information and help for Fibro is www.endfatigue.com. It's run by a man who is both a Dr. and a naturopath, and specializes in diseases that have fatigue as it's main symptom. CFS, lupus, lyme disease, hypothyroid, fibro, etc. He talks about D-ribose, a substance already in our bodies, but people with chronic illness don't have enough. It put my daughter's fibro into remissiom, as long as she is taking it.It helps oxygen and nutrients get to each cell individually, which is one body function that doesn't work, and every cell and organ that does not get enough oxygen will malfunction and have pain. Fibro affects the whole pituitary system as well. The Dr. that runs the site I mentioned, his brother is also an M.D. and naturopath, and he is the main writer for Dr. Oz's show. The one with the site is Dr. Jacob Teitelbaum. Alternative medicine offers SO MUCH MORE for Fibro symptoms than modern medicine does.
