Yes! So true!
Hello Jamey,
Ben's Friends welcomes people from all over the planet. Our founders have recently started adding Spanish speaking groups! This is a giant step!
This group saves lives, saves sanity, saves health! Nothing I have encountered compares to this!
We have many Aussies and always enjoy their special humor, and great insight!
Welcome!
Hugs,
SK
This post is a great way to get to know everyone!
Hello Jamey, Its nice to be in a position to relate to people that finally understand. I also have just joined the sub group for fibro and arthritis. This year has been the worst for me yet with constant flareups - also due to have hand op soon - OA in both thumb joints...more time off work!!!. Little bit nervous about op, but hoping it will help take pain away from hands. Living in UK is quite damp and Wet..so always blamed the british weather for my condition, its amazing that its quite common across the world. I look forward to speaking to you again soon.
Big hug
Hi Karin. I originally come from the UK and I must confess that I thought my condition would improve when I moved to Australia (18 years ago). It did for a while and the flare ups only started becoming more frequent about 10 years ago to the point where I now don't work at all. We lived in the tropics until two years ago and we now live in south Australia which has four seasons like the UK just hotter in the summer. So I'm not sure you can blame the UK weather although I know in the snowy weather my feet and shins used to hurt like hell.
Best of luck with your op on you hands. Natural to be nervous but it will be worth it in the long run. Don't expect instant benefit as it sometimes takes a while before the benefit overcomes the discomfort. (speaking from experience here). When do you have it and how long is the hospital stay and post op recovery? What exactly are you having done? Hope your work look after you whilst you're off recovering.
Take care and have a good night's sleep (I have the UK clock on my computer as most of my family is still living there).
Cheers
Jamey
