Hi Bet, I just got back from the pain clinic in worse pain. It usually takes about 2-3 days for these Botox treatments to kick in. Also, I hurt all over today, but my spirits are high. I have to take care of my 3 dogs who seem to know when I don’t feel well. They stay close. I took my Zomig, Nucynta, and got in bed to get warm.
Am I offering cheer? Well, I’m not doing all the decorations I used to do. I haven’t since I became disabled or really before. I like to visit where others have, but I just can’t handle it. I get out my Christmas music box that plays continuous songs. I enjoy hearing it in the background, put out the wreath, lights on the topiary trees out front. These things bring me joy.
It doesn’t take much Bet. Acceptance has a lot to do with it for me. Maybe make putting up and taking down the tree a family affair.
I'm so sorry for you loss. Remember stress makes pain worse. Don't worry about the housework, worry about yourself. Take care of you first, and everything else will work out. :)
