Hello everyone! Good news/ bad news. I had labs drawn last week and my vitamin D level is 11.3 which is very low. Low normal is 30. My doctor said that having a number that low indicates I’ve been vitamin D deficient for a long time. I’m on prescription vit D for 8 weeks. This might explain why my level of fatigue is high. Also, last Thursday, I saw the pain specialist for the first time. I was impressed with his knowledge about fibromyalgia. He started me on low dose Naltrexone. He said in 4 to 6 weeks I should feel improvement. He said LDN works about 50% of the time. I am hopeful. I’ve still been quite sad. Mostly this is due to my living environment, loss of my “ old self”, Fibro pain and lack of family support and 2 friends getting tired of my Fibro issues. I understand where they are coming from. I know they care about me. If I feel well enough, tomorrow I’m meeting a friend for a couple hours. She has fibromyalgia too. I have to be careful and not overdo it. It’s funny how sitting down with a good friend for two hours can put me in a 2 day flare. Uh! Here’s a challenge for all of us this week. Pacing ourselves throughout the day and keeping check of what our bodies need and are telling us. It sort of sounds easy, but for me it’s not. I remember to do this well for about 3 hours, and then I forget. Love that Fiber frog!!! Get it…fiber frog??? Fibro Fog! Ahhh!
