Very fatigued

hey everyone, just wanted to make a quick post on here to see how everyone is holding up.
as you all probably guessed based off of the topic, i am currently exhausted and in a pretty heavy figro fog.
i am loving working again, but it has been a little difficult trying to get back into the swing of things. about to head to bed now actually. have a busy day ahead.
let me know how you all are, and i’m sorry i haven’t been on nearly as much as i would like to be.
blessings and prayers!

Hello Ahava

I'm sorry that you are struggling with fatigue while you are still working.

Fatigue is something that plagues me every day. But I am no longer working. It bothered me when I was still working, but I just kept pushing forward until one day my body revolted and I could not continue working anymore.

I now know the difference between tiredness and fatigue. Tiredness normal people experience after a day of hard work.

Fatigue hits you as soon as you get up.......before you have done anything.

What kind of work do you do, Ahava?

Gentle hugs

Rachel

I admire you for working I now how challenging it can be but you push through it, it take a strong mind to keep working, the trouble is that you are exhausted, poor love, make sure your sleeping and in your down times, stay down love&Hugs Jeannie

I am glad you are loving your job but please pace your self. I am ok seeing doctors and starting new meds and aqua therapy. Please keep us posted on how you are.

thank you all so so much for the love you have sent me in this thread, it really means a lot to me. working and having fibro is really difficult, and as it was truthfully stated above, it affects you first thing in the morning when you just crawl out of bed. funny that fatigue can take hold of you that fast.
i had to call the other day, my back was such a wreck i was literally in tears, which is unusual for me.
the managers where i work were understanding, but now unfortunately if i have to call out one more time i could be immediately terminated from the company. :frowning:
i now have to work super hard to make sure my job is secure, and thats adding more stress, and in turn lots and lots of pain.

everyone’s prayers about the matter (and advice) would be appreciated. love, prayers, and blessings to you all!

Dear Ahava

That is putting a lot of pressure on you, pressure that is not healthy for you. Having fibromyalgia means that you cannot predict what tomorrow will be like. I am concerned that you are going to go to work on days when you are not well. Over time this is going to going to build until you "break" and then you might be really sick. And that is just not good.

This is a problem I can see in the workforce where fibromyalgia is not understood by employers. But look at the medical profession and how many doctors still don't believe in fibromyalgia! Unfortunately it's going to take time and employees are going to suffer.

Please keep us updated Ahava.

Gentle hugs

Rachel

Hi Rachel I would have to agree with you, I actually made my illness much worse by sucking it up like the doctors said, and I would never advise anyone to push through the pain ever because it doesn't work, all it does is make you exhausted and you have ptobaly failed or are in just in to much dam pain. Acknowledge your pain it's real and it hurts and it's real to feel that way. Don't let people tell you your not in pain when it effects every decision you make. That is why this site is so comforting because people know that if youv'e have had a bad day with pain and they how bad you feel sad that it can be a soft place to fall if all people all to know that other people suffer like you on a daily basis makes me love you guys Jeannie
