Had to see my doctor again even though I will be in pain clinic soon , after a very stressful month last month seeing my son go through so much we were in hospital again for seven hrs 2 days ago , he has broken his hand and needed an operation , hes still getting over his last operation 7 weeks ago . So the flares keep coming , my doctor has given me cymbalta and review my meds , I have noticed alit are taking cymbalta , just would like to hear how everyone is with taking this . Big hugs xxxxx
Hello, I have been taking Cymbalta for at least 5 years and I feel it is the best medicine for me to take. I take 2-60mg. every morning. It has helped me tremendously with pain and the depression. After reading about all the people who can not take it surprises me. Maybe you just have to start on a very low dosage at first, I don't know. Good luck!

Hi Angie, I’m so sorry to here about your son… I had hoped he was well on the way to recovery. I can’t help with anything about the Cymbalta, I take Savella … I’m hoping you get more responses about this, if you search under all discussions ( top right ) put I. Cymbalta I know there have been other discussions on it, perhaps one may be of help.

Wow, Angie, so sorry to hear about your son's broken hand and prior surgery as well. That's a run of rotten luck! I hope his pain meds are keeping him happy. (Too bad that yours can't do the same.) And I'm sure he appreciated your presence at the hospital. That's too bad that you're now flaring after his second surgery but sometimes I guess there's no avoiding it. I do hope you find pain relief from your pain clinic.
The doctor said it is ok for me to continue to take my nortriptyline of a night and cymbalta in the morning , just didnt like the ideba of taking 2 antidepressants , xx
