Welcome Aprel as she adjusts to her "new normal"!

Hello @AprelC, and welcome to our community. We are happy to have you, and while your circumstances may not be the best, we hope you find our community warm and welcoming. I am happy to share that you are not alone, and as you may have guessed, there are others that can relate to your situation, your pain, and I am sure you can find many of their stories.

Since you are looking to meet people who can help you adjust to your “new normal”, are you comfortable with sharing how your situation has changed recently? If not, that’s perfectly fine, too.

Again, thank you for joining Ben’s Friends and we look forward to getting to know you!

All the best,
Brandon

Hi everyone, thanks for the welcome. I’m not sure where to start so I’ll just tell you about my day.
Lately, I’ve been experiencing some serious FATIGUE!!! I thought I was just being lazy but the last few days have been horrible. I can barely get out the bed and when I finally do, it feels like I’ve been working out. This is a really sad existence for me cause I’m just getting used to forgetting EVERYTHING and being in pain 24/7. One good thing I’ve noticed is that, although I live with chronic pain, some things I eat can make my pain level worse so I don’t touch them. A little relief for me is a lot to smile about.
Over the past 6 years since I was diagnosed with fibro, I have managed to function but its getting harder the older I get. I thank God for my husband though. He’s not very helpful with the housework :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: but he is 100% supportive. I just need other people to talk to that truly understand what this disease is and how it can change a person. Well that’s all for now. Have a great day

I’m sorry you’ve been experiencing fatigue recently! Take any victory you can, so identifying certain foods that contribute to flare-ups is good food for knowledge (no pun intended). I’m glad your spouse is supportive, and remember, you have warriors here to lend our support, too!

Enjoy the rest of your week and try to have a great weekend.

Best,
Brandon
