I give mine to myself.
Apparently, one can go on for months w/o sleep. I do.
Wow! these discussions are great! I am new and I'm so impressed with the team effort of everyone's contribution. There have been alot of great suggestions, and I appreciate every one of them. I was asked who gives me the B12 shot and it is my Endocrinologist for neuropathy from Diabetes, to help to regenerate nerves that are damaged. Thanks for the web site suggestions, I'll be checking into them, too. Signed, just an AZ lily.
Totally! Best med. ever. Problem with side effects sometimes. And that is hard to watch for the family! But even the worst trip is better then the reality we live with!
I, like many of you here, also suffer from extreme fatigue. I have also noticed a lot of you have similar symptoms/issues as I have that have seemed to be a progression of Fibro. The longer you have it, the more issues you develop. I was told when I was diagnosed 6 yrs. ago, that Fibro. wasnāt a progressive disease, but I beg to differ! Mine started with migraines and back issues, then the nerve pain started with the āFogā, clumsiness, periodic bouts of tiredness. Numbness in my hands and feet began along w/ sciatic pain ( even after a disc replacement). Meds help some but doesnāt cure. Now Iām B12 deficient (according to my Dr.) which is why Iām extremely fatigued now ( taking 7000 mcg supp./day ) developed nodules on my thyroid? And since Nov. everything I eat, well letās just say Mr. Tidy Bowl Man gets thatā¦so Yeah Iād say itās progressiveā¦and hope someone finds us some HOPE! Wishing you all well today! <3
Gkblondy,
If the B12 doesn't help you in time, you may want to read up on leaky gut syndrome and see if you can find a doctor who is familiar with treating absorption issues. Sometimes it's more complicated than just giving B-12. If your gut is not able to absorb for any reason, you will not be able to reap the benefits of the B-12, or any other nutrients.
Ally
evening primerose oil along with prescribed doses of folic acid did help me somewhat. Huge part is not overdoing it. Sadly we just cannot expect to be have same energy levels as we once did as healthy and younger.
I also think getting out and walking or doing some kind of exercise helps as well plus reduces pain. Doing things that make us happy. Every notice you do not get tired doing things you enjoy as much...well i do..in fact i often will stay out gardening too long. So i try to put time limits on even things i enjoy so next day i am not exhausted or even after i come in and than it hits me ...ohoh over did it.
So again comes with listening to ones body, learning to know your limits and follow them. I do not believe in taking speed drugs....drinking a tea that is safe that might have caffeine in it or coffee...few cups a day sure..but i avoid even those so called energy drinks as too many times it is found out they have things in them that causes harm.
I agree, getting enough sleep...which never was an issue till i was put on sleeping drugs and antidepressants....since than i cannot sleep more than few hours ...even before if i woke up due to pain, i turn, go right back to sleep...now i stay wake hours due to pain mainly. some doctors think it is again another side effect of being on narcotics for pain relief....it affected too many of my brain chemicals. I have read some science to back it up so there is some truth in it.
I go back to the Dr. Tomorrow to get results from a blood panel they took, testing my B12, D, Rhumatoid and a bunch of other things. So weāll see what it shows and go from there I guess. Thanks for the info., leaky gut could be a culprit, especially if my levels are still low.
You're welcome. I know sometimes it feels like your opening up a can of worms with this stuff, but sometimes that exactly what you need to do to get to the bottom of it. Good luck.
