A checklist for fibromyalgia with some unique symptoms

iAnd our doctor also ignores it, thinking it's the fibro. I don't know, Renie. I guess we demand xrays or ultrasounds or MRIs to count out real emergencies. It's a tough question, isn't it?

I know. It's frustrating to feel real pain and have nothing show up on any tests. And yet we might tend to discount real heart pains, thinking they're our fibro. My doc did an EKG ASAP to rule anything out. I was pretty sure it was fibro because the pain felt like it started in the tenderpoints in my chest. But what if I was wrong or if I didn't know?

TY ....Just found this post. i thought I was going nuts, because it appears i have all the odd symptoms..LOL

This sounds like the symptoms of every autoimmune disease I have ever researched all thrown together! Whoever it was who put this together, didn't miss much!

Good post!

That was under my skin oops... Jo it comes as it pleases, I can be at the sink washing my hands and the boiling feeling just starts. Renie, mine is under but sure does feel loke a boiling sensaction, shoot Im just falling apart all together. Thanks for everyunes feedback :)

It's quite crazy, I guess, that we can all pretty much put a check mark next to everything on that list. I can most definetly place one next to everything. I figured, "oh just is just something that normal, healthy people get", but now it makes more sense. Thanks for the list. Puts it all into perspective.

...ugh...I meant "oh THIS is just...."

Oh goodie, so in other word, having fibro is like having all of the pain and nasty symptoms of every single auto-immune disease, minus the damage.

Sounds about bloody right! And minus the treatment and sympathy...

Cayce,

How are you, I hadn't heard much from you lately! Glad to know you are still with us! How are you feeling these days?

Wishing you well,

SK

It seems as though it really is like Overlap Syndrome, you have so many symptoms of different autoimmune diseases, yet you do not have a full diagnosis of any. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Overlap_syndrome (although I do) Back to the autoimmunity I have posted on several links.

No wonder we are referred to a Rheumatologist!

Nikki, may I ask where you found this list, please?

I've been ok. Just been having a lot of up and down days. Going through a depression cycle. The lyrica treatment I've been on is working some what; I have noticed a slight pain level difference with it. I recently went to my doctor, he didn't want to up the dose on the lyrica because I was experiencing fluid retention. So I just have to wait and see if that goes away before they make any further changes.

myoclonus is only at night? Are they large jerks or can they be smaller, twitch like symptoms?

I'm also curious, thanks

I have nearly ALL of these!!

I have both, lajuegirl. Large jerks, where the arm or leg jumps up, then smaller ones, where they just seem to twitch a bit. I had no idea what set them off and thought it was the Lyrica but now I'm suspecting the fibro, since so many others have them. Unless the others are also on Lyrica?

I know about the fluid retention, I have the same problem, and I sometimes have to go off the med for a day or two, but I did discuss it with my Dr first.

Good to hear from you, wishing you well, come on and say "hi" when you can!

Wishing you well,

SK

I have nearly everything on this list. My eyes start to fill with tears as i read my current life story before my eyes, posted by a steanger.
