A checklist for fibromyalgia with some unique symptoms

Thanks for identifying this, I have vision problems, and assumed that the colour issue was related to that or that my father was partially colour blind, but it didn’t start until my 40’s. What I thought was a shade of green others saw as blue. I also have to watch black, navy and brown, burgundy and burnt orange. Always interesting to see that it may just be another symptom of Fibro.

I was just thinking about this again the other day. I DO see colors differently than others do. I'm glad to hear that you do too, B2chi, as I feel more normal knowing I'm not alone with it. I'm curious if you're also female, B2chi, since color blindness is supposed to be a male trait, yet I have some of it. Or maybe it is the fibro messing with our vision. It's just a weird thing and has led to fights, since my sister gets really mad sometimes when I incorrectly identify a color of a house or shirt or something.

Hi Petunia, yes I am female, and I know that colour blindness is supposed to be a male trait, but neither of my brothers had this issue. This wsn’t an issue when I was a kid. I didn’t realize it until I was looking at a friends’ skirt and saying how pretty a green it was apparently it was blue. I also get arguing with my husband over the colour they had painted the building we lived in at the time, he said blue I said green. I also went out one time with one black shoe and one dark brown shoe, that was embarrassing. Don’t know if its fibro, be interested in hering if anyone else has this problem.

Wow!! I had never seen this before. It sure does describe me to a T. Thanks, Leanne

You're welcome, Leanne. I think it's an unofficial list put together by fibro sufferers. I'm not entirely sure about that, but it does cover a lot of my issues too.

This list is like looking in a mirror. I just had to repost it for the other newbies. I am going to print it out to keep with me when I need some understanding from the people in my life.

Thank you all.

L.

I really appreciate this list and the monster list that were posted. It was timely as I was going to see my GP (general practitioner) on Saturday. . I summarized the symptoms that I have off and on, and took it with me. I also took her information on a fibromyalgia and CFS clinic which is close by where I lived. She has scheduled a sleep apnea test, a breathing test, and despite my doubts about the fibro and CFS clinic is going to refer me.She doesn’t know it, but said if I have concerns after going there just to stop. She’s a great Doc, and has gone through a lot with me, but it was fairly obvious she doesn’t know how to treat fibro.
The lists were great, it made it so much easier to explain what’s going on

Bumping this to the top, so new members can see/read it.

It's time to repost this so our newbies get a chance to see it and recognize most of the symptoms.
