Hi everyone! I was wondering what analgesic creams work the best for fibromyalgia? Or don’t they work? I would like to carry something in my purse if I start having increased pain or use at home in addition to using a heating pad or ice.
I have used a few over the years to help with muscle pain and aches. Tiger Balm has a strong odor and is the consistency of Vaseline so I only use it at home. I tried putting it on in the car on a road trip, huge mistake. I also like Sombra, my massage therapist would use it sometimes. It’s gooy, but the smell is mild. It warms and then cools.
Analgesia wise the best thing for my shoulder pain is lidoderm patches, it’s 2% lidocaine and the patch goes on for up to 12 hours.
It really depends on the type of pain, location, and preference. Be interested to hear what else has worked for others. Not sure what type of analgesia cream you mea, maybe I am misinformed.
Hi I am a huge fan of Mary’s Medicinal Muscle Freeze . It has 70 mg CBD . Feels like a Superman version of bio- freeze . I’m on the medical marijuana program in Illinois I think you can get it from most dispensaries and you may find similar products on Leafly that would not require a medical card for the topical compound.
Hi. Because lidocaine patches are expensive, I like lidocaine cream. You can buy it at drug stores like Walgreen. It works for surface pain, the patches help with deep pain.
I feel funny with lidocaine, but use both soothenol x2 , which is expensive but only take a tiny amount per area…
But i use that only after shower…
For my purse , pain erase makes a travel size, that has an applicator tip…so nothing on your hands…pain erase is a good product…it comes with an expired date, but testing shows its does not expire and it still works…also lasts really well…i now buy this in volume pricing and friends and family buy it from me…just makes it cheaper i do not get profit…
I am medication sensitive so can only take anything in mini dose, so topicals help me tremendously
lidocaine patches aren’t too terribly expensive, depending now how many use per day, at least in the USA and probably any other country that has Walmart.

I found 6 patches for $10 at 4% lidocaine strength. You can also get Aspercreme Lidocaine patch, 5 of them for about $8.
These are available OTC. You can get them via most prescription plans at 5% strength for your generic copay, although you may need to get a prior auth for it – which is what I did for the nerve damage in my face. It was a single page form to fill out and your insurance will typically cover 90 patches for 30 days. It will be easier to get the prior auth approved if you have a successful trial of the OTC strength first.

I use lidocaine patches or cream. Or a cream called MyPainAway fibro cream no scent, I add essential oil to it). Also Two Old Goats essential oil lotion for arthritis and fibromyalgia.
