I have decided I am going to pamper myself more, take better care of my personal appearance, and get out of the house more, even if it is painful to ride in the car!
For our Christmas dinner, I colored and curled my hair and Mom's. Wore make-up, jewelry, dress clothes, and we both looked really good, and it made us feel good! I am taking her to our favorite little restaurant for lunch as a gift to both of us!
Awe SK that sounds great and maybe I should do the same. I guess I have gotten in a rutt , wear comfy baggy clothes and no make up as well. A little pampering will do me good. I'm following you and thanks for the ideal... Hugs
HI SK,Sounds great but i just can not get going so know i need to do this.I was thinking of starting a small buusiness a independent funeral flowe desinger, but i guess it will be another dream,oh Happy New Years Hugs
I major resolution is to find out if I actually do have fibromyalgia and find a good doctor to help me with all of my pain. I do want to spend more quality time with my children (the oldest will be 16 on New Year's Eve). I want to actually go on a date without the kids with my boyfriend of five years. I want to finish out college for my second degree. Get in shape (as much as my body will allow me). Try not to be shy and make friends. Cut back on smoking and eventually quit altogether. So much more!
I have given up NY resolutions – I guess I have no will power :>} But I admire those of you who still dream and those who take steps to get out of the rut!!! Go for it!!!
Hi SK, I'm going to bust my butt to finish my studies and hopefully find a nice quiet office job so that I can leave the farming to someone younger and fitter!
It's a good resolution, SK. I know it's hard for us to travel around and we forget about dressing up. But it feels good to see ourselves with the makeup and nice clothes, and going out can be refreshing, if it's not a bad day.
As for me, I want to work harder at trying to get my book published. I've only collected 2 rejections, a few more should at least be in order, eh?
I'd also like to try to get in better shape. I hate being fat and being so stiff. I hate not being able to get up off the ground. I'd like to work on better health.
And making sure that I get to see my mother as much as I can, given that she's in her 80's. Time is precious.
Why just a dream? Maybe you could make it come true. You could google it on the internet to find out more about it and see if it's something that you'd enjoy and could handle with the fibro.
Yay, Berrygus! That sounds like a great plan. Doing farming when you have fibro sounds like something best left for the younger and fitter, as you say!
My resolution is a pretty typical one, I want to lose weight and be healthier. Although in that, I am going to do a proper elimination diet to figure out if I have food sensitivities and really work on a healthy diet focused on more veggies.
