hi Vicky, might be good if you go to ER and your doctor’s not on call, you may be able to get a second opinion Although it doesn’t cost dollars I know it costs time and discomfort to wait especially on a long weekend.
I know it is difficult to find a GP up here, I’ve kept mine for over 9 years even though she is about 45 minutes away. Are there only the three doctors in Stony Creek, or is there another practice, where you may be able to find a doctor. The other thing is you can tell him you want a second opinion because you’re very concerned and you want to make sure it is fibro.
The 1st place I ever got fibro that was diagnosed was in my shoulder, which I couldn’t move more than an inch without terrible pain but I was fortunate after a few Advil , a T3 and heating pad I fell asleep, and when I woke up it still hurt but I could move it. Don’t know if it’s similar but you’re going to be stressed until you are reassured that it is not something else.
I was also wondering if there is a fibro centre or clinic in Edmonton. Perhaps if there is, once the weather is better you could be asked to be referred there to get some help in managing the pain and new symptoms.
It's even more effective if you act as if you're helping the doctor, such as saying, "I found these articles on fibromyalgia and thought you might be interested.
Save the insults for when you are in the car alone. A doctor who feels insulted is a barrier to good treatment, as he'll put something in your file. :)
Oop, sorry SK; didn't mean to give you the impression that I was a PT. :) I'm an RRT (respiratory therapist). I definitely had 'rounds' with doc egos! I've learned that if you're calm and firm, you'll get their respect.
If you need to go the ER, you go right ahead, whether your doctor is on call or not. When you need relief, you need relief. Don't try to be tough! Still praying for you dear!
have you even got the hung over effect from the melatonin that i know some get? my husband tried it and after about 6 months he just could not tolerate it due to side effects of it.
I so strongly believe in advil/ motrin for pain...plus helps stop inflammation going on in our bodies which can cause all kinds of health problems....even suppose to help keep Alzheimer at bay! Just eat when you take it to save your tummy.
I am confused about the two magnesium.....and about bathroom drama..does one cause bathroom issues?
