Cawffee Tawk

Aren't all of you excited? Another caffeine guzzling moment to share with the masses.

I need a pick me up, so share with me, with the wonderful cawffee'd (and un-cawffee'd) people of this site, what is your dream vacation? Money is not an issue, it's a dream after all!

Mmm great idea Rubber Ducky, we can all do with a pick me up - but it's Friday yay! Works for me!

I thought I might think of a holiday I have enjoyed in the past first. I have had many great holidays, but I remember as a child camping in Cornwall. Why was that good? It was so simple, in a beautiful place (Cornwall in UK), and it was fun!

Now for dream holiday... mmm doesn't need to be just a dream - it could be a goal! Somewhere hot, beautiful and peaceful. I remember someone telling me years ago that Bali is such a place - so for me it's Bali. Think I'll start saving now!

Take care, Anne

Hawaii or just the Grand canyon

I would love to go to Sedona, AZ with my best friend. It;s supposed to be a spiritual nexus. :)

I LOVE vacations!!! Who doesn"t??? I grew up in the YUKON (right next to ALASKA), so my dream vacations always include hot, sunny places with beaches and lots of sand. Luckily, I worked on a cruiseship briefly, so I got to see quite a few caribbean ports in a short time, and got familiar with them.

My dream vacation would be to have my own 70 foot yacht with crew, to cruise away among the Caribbean islands at will, stopping wherever we liked for however long we liked. Eating fresh seafood every night, dancing to live caribbean bands, swimming in the blue sea and soaking up the sun. That sounds like my perfect vacation!!!! :) :)

I suppose mine would be to travel the world, or I shall say certain spots throughout the world. My top desires would to visit Germany, Italy, Ireland, Caribbean islands, samoa islands, austraillia, argentinia, costa rica, japan, Alaska.

My dream has always been to go to Hawaii!!! Where the weather seems like it would welcome fibromites! not too hot and not too cold...not too humid and not too dry!!! On the beach under a palm tree with just a slight breeze gently blowing, laying in a hammock with a special tropical drink in my hand (something with pineapple in it!), listening to some calm tropical meditation music, and the waves of the ocean in the background or maybe one of their water falls. And a platter on the table next to me of all tropical fruits to munch on.How was that?!?!

....wish winter was over....we finally made it to 20 degrees today with sun....been in a freeze here in Buffalo NY!!! Come on Spring .....were waiting.

I’ve always dreamed of going to the UK. My husband is of Scottish descent & I’m Irish, Scottish, & English. I know, all I want to do is drink & fight with myself. At least thats what my g-ma always told me.

Ok my turn. This coming to you from the East coast where its been so cold (HOW COLD IS IT!!!)that when it went up to 20 degrees calls were heard to break out the flip flops and the bermuda shorts. insert Rim shot here!!

Ok sunny and 75 degrees and low humidity. I find my self down the shore points. I have access to a house that has a back porch which is partially covered over, (sun sensitivity you understand) A glass of un-cawfeed ice tea my crocheting and the sound of the surf.

Hey rubber ducky, good idea!!!

ROFLMAO too funny! I'd love to go to Ireland. Not the big cities...the villages...so beautiful...

I have plenty of places I'd like to go and numerous things I'd like to do. So I really don't have "a" dream vacation, but many :)

* Colorado/Wyoming: Ride horses up the mountains, soak in hot springs, then white water raft back to home base. All done in about one week.

* Central/South America: Llama trekking, walk the Mayan/Incan ruins, swim in the warm, warm ocean, enjoy the food and drinks of the locality.

* Bahamas/Bali/Tahiti: Who doesn't want a tropical vacation? This includes SCUBA diving, riding horses on the beach, sipping tall, tropical drinks by the pool, maybe an island romance.

* Europe: I'd love to go on a few guided tours of Europe! I've been to Holland, Germany, and Belgium. I want to add to that European list. Try the foods, blend with the locals, visit WWII battle sites, visit Holocaust sights.

* Stateside: I've been to most contingent states, so I'd like to visit Alaska and Hawaii. I also went to all the major Civil War battlefields as a kid - which was boring as could be when I was a wee lass, but sounds super interesting now!. I'd love to visit some of the Smithsonian museums again. Always a great day when I can spend it in a museum!

I guess I want to travel! I used to travel all the time, I have literally traveled around the world....just not in the past 8 years or so. At this point, I'd even take a night at a hotel in a city a few miles away!

I was born and raised in up state New York. Moved here down to south east Virginia 8 years ago to escape the bitter cold! Well it followed me to here!! My dream is to move to South Florida !!! Not just for a vacation for good!! I love the heat and humidity !!! Oh what a wonderful dream!!

I would like to travel back in time to 1874 Paris during the time the Impressionist art movement first made its’ debut. Monet, Seurat, Van Gogh…
Paris! Oh what a dream!

That's a really cool answer Baltimore, I might make that the topic of next week's Cawffee Tawk!

Oh, and I've been to the Van Gogh museum in Amsterdam. It houses 97% of his work. Too bad it wasn't you instead of me, I was bored to tears!

Rubber Ducky, I’ll be looking forward to it.

My dream vacation is not exotic. It is just a simple and wonderful place that mu husband and I enjoy. I would love to vacation in Monterey CA. I love it and I visit it twice a year. I would love to stay for as long as i could and enjoy the shopping, food and the people. Omg! I am missing it already!

I also think about where I would love to go on a vacation somewhere warm & a comfortable hammock lots of sun and rumchata to drink. I can wake up when I’m rested and go to sleep listening to the waves.

Every since one of our patients returned from New Zealand, and brought back pictures of the land and the people, I've always wanted to go. That was in 1990, and the chance has never come. If I ever had some extra money that is where I would love to go. It's a dream, but then, some dreams do come true! It's nice having that dream a possibility. Thank you Rubber Ducky for helping us to think of those dreams!

All I want is to be able to go on a bus tour to Reno. And then to play Big Bertha and win a million dollars. LOL And to go shopping and eat at Kentucky Fried cuz ours sux. And do nothing for the eight days but eat and gamble. lol Love those slots.

Also go to New Zealand to visit my son and family . Then to visit my great gran son and his dad my gran son. and his wife. But I think this is a lost cause as it requires way to much travelling .Might be to hard on my body. But I can dream

HUGS

I'd like to take a series of luxury vacations. Today we received a brochure for a tour that leaves from Anchorage and with ships, buses, etc gives you a close-up cruise along bays and inlets of Kenai peninsula, bears, dog sledding across a glacier, a lecture tour of a marine research facility, and a flight tour of the rest. 10 days is $4500 each for my husband and I. Then inland to Denali with jeep tours of the interior, lodging in the interior at Denali Grand Lodge, 7 days for $4200 each. Then a tour of the Kennebuck Mine area and the Elias/Wrangell National Park with luxury lodging. Heck, just start with all the tours in the National Geographic Adventure tours with cruises to Antartica, the Galapagos, sight seeing at all the major tourist spots around the world with luxury cruises, first class planes, etc. Let others do the planning, tote my luggage, solve my problems. I'll relax and let them take care of me for a few weeks at a time, then come home and let the live-in housekeeper (that has to be included in any vacation ideas) take care of me while I loll around and recover. Oh and of course my vacation and home recovery include a first rate wine cellar with around the clock access, spa tubs, etc. So I can be on the road again in a couple of months. My body doesn't take that long to recover, but I'm not willing to go anywhere for at least a month after each vacation. It takes me that long to forget the pain and tiredness. I always remember the adventure and excitement of seeing a new place. Heck, just a luxury hotel at any interesting site other than home feels great. Maid service, meals prepared for me, bellhops, room service, aaah- bliss.
