Dealing with Fibro during traumatic events

I'm sorry. This really is an awful illness. I hope the flare eases up soon.

Thoughts and prayers to you,

Petunia

Natalie,

I am so sorry to hear of your situation. I think one thing to know is that it is common and expected for any chronic illness to become worse during severe stress. It is common to think that you will not recover. Being in pain really distorts what we think. Believe me, you will get better. Maybe if you accept that this is a bad flair and tell yourself it will get better, it might relieve some mental stress.

Is there any way you could stay somewhere like a hotel where you can have some stability? Good luck and God Bless.

Maria

Natalie, my suggestion is to pray lots - which you are probably doing already. Where are you staying now - with family or a shelter? During times like this it is important not to try be superwoman and do everything yourself. Rely on family and friends when you can. Keep hope in your heart and know that things will settle down and get better. You will recover. Take it a day at a time and know that you will find the strength you need to get through this. I will say a prayer for you and your children. Jo.

Don't know how you can do it. We can't have kids and I am thankful, fibro runs on my Dads side of the family, and have alot of other health problems that I do not passed on. A arm of two different family trees dies with me. Which is fine, I would not wish my medical problem on my worse enemy, well maybe the ex wife. Sorry had to throw that one in. We have 3 cats and 2 dogs and that is enough for me. I feel for you, being a mom and having fibro is enough. We all have outside stressers, but wild fires? I hope and pray it works out for you. I have just found this sight and it has been great. Normally I am venting or just talking about fibro. Nobody can understand fibro except another person with fibro. It has helped me alot just being able to talk to someone who understands how you feel.
