I got the bad news that I got denied for my 2nd time for ssdi. I hired Binder and Binder to help me for the court appeal.
I also tried trigger points with my back on my last appointment and I am sick of all of the shots. They never last long and then I am back in bed rarely getting out of bed and that I hurt so much it is unbareable despite the Pain patch and Percoett. I have had all the shots in the back and that the last option he gave me was a spine stimulator since I have had no relief.
He told me he would put one in temporarily for 3-5days and then if I liked it and responded well they would have me do surgey for permanet placement. I am really scared about this does anyone have any expereince with this?
Sorry to hear that Angela. Gentle Hugs to you. Im here to talk always. Just inbox me. Ur strong i can tell that. Youve been through a lot. I don’t think I’ll ever get surgery. I’m scary and that seems extreme.
Im sorry your ssdi got denied. Do you have any idea why. Im so scared. I’m trying to get mine. I don’t know what I’ll do if they deny it. Hang in there buddy
Have you tried radio ablation done on your back? It's a quick procedure where the nerves are burned. It's not a permanent solution but it can last for months, and occasionally, for 2 years or so. I've had it done twice and it's helped me a lot with the pain in my back. I also have osteo arthritis, and apparently that's the cause of my fibro pain in my back and radio ablation can work when the problem is osteo arthritis. It may be used for other medical issues in backs too, I'm just not sure.
It does hurt horribly for several weeks after the procedure but then you can get significant relief for months+.
I had also discussed the possibility of the spine stimulator but my doc was very strongly opposed to the idea. I don't remember why. But I've found a discussion group on the matter and most people seem to like it very much: http://www.dailystrength.org/treatments/Spinal_Cord_Stimulator
Ok, I've now been reignited with curiosity on the spine stimulator too~!
I hope that you get good results with this, one of my buddy's on the Psoriatic Site has one implanted and it has really helped him, I asked about one and the Rheum said NO, not while on Enbrel, too many infections. To have any surgery, you have to stop taking any biologic. So since the biologic is helping, guess that's out!
