Last couple of days i have been in alot if pain nothing is working! Those who go to er or patient first, what do u say and how are you treated? Im scared to go…in fear of what they will say and if they will help me?
When I talked with my PCP, he stated to avoid the ER or Urgent Care for FMS. That was his advice. He stated they would not do anything for me that would help, and he was right. They gave me an anti-inflammatory (which I have at home), an EKG and an extra strength Ibuprofen...really? And I later received a very large bill for their services, which my insurance didn't cover most of.
I'm not trying to discourage you from going to the ER, because I know a lot of people have received decent help from the ER. I live in Washington State and my experience has been very negative with emergency rooms.
I'm sorry you are in a lot of pain. Wishing you well and I hope it gets better!

Hi Necee, I am sorry you are in so much pain. I haven't gone to the ER for Fibro stuff so I can't tell you my experience. I know others who have gone have given advice to advocate for yourself and explain you are in a bad pain cycle and need something to break it. You could be very direct and just list your issues (where you are hurting) and advocate for something to help. Also, have you tried to get ahold of your doctor - does he/she have an answering service? I think I would try that to see if your doctor could either send a stat order to the pharmacy or else notify the ER so you get appropriate care. Please keep us updated on how you are doing. Giant but soft HUGS!!!!!!
Hi Necee
Try your primary doctor first. I have had good experiences with the er. Make sure to tell them exactly where the pain is and what it feels like. I hope you are feeling better today and have some relief.
Hi, Necee, hon. I wanted to check in on you and see how you are doing? I hope the doctors were able to help you manage your pain.
