Honestly, does anyone else just think that any minute it could get bad enough that you will need to go to ER? I have felt very weak in my legs again, and every minute I seem to have some sharp shooting pain or tingling that seems like it could just make me faint or fall down...like I just can't walk. I was on my feet all day at work again, and stupidly went to the grocery store and carried three bags up the flight of stairs to my apartment. I broke into tears when I reached the door and have been lying in bed. I couldn't eat dinner because I am so exhausted. I don't even know what I am really talking about right now, lol, but I am rambling I guess about the random and frightful symptoms. Also trying to push myself too much. Thanks for reading, and gentle hugs to everyone. Sorry, normally I deal better..
I'm sorry you are in so much pain : ( I have often felt at the verge of going to the ER on several occassions as well. You know your body best and if you need to go to the ER, you should go. I have had days like these where I just lay in bed and wished someone could help me, but unfortunately, my experiences with the ER have been useless. If you decide to go, I hope they can provide you some relief. Work is very difficult and it takes a lot out of us. You weren't silly for going to the grocery store because it was something you needed to do. We SHOULD be able to do normal things like other people can do and that is one of the hardest things about this diagnosis.
Please keep me updated on how you are doing. Feel free to email me if you want to chat.
Hi, Lisa.
Sometimes when in a flare, I have felt intense Fibro pain and exhaustion. That said, however, if you’re having “random and frightful” symptoms and they are causing you distress, the ER may be appropriate. If you decide it isn’t necessary to visit ER afterall, it’s a good idea to still check in with your doctor to be sure it isn’t something else or to have your medication adjusted. Sorry you’re feeling so bad. I hope you feel better soon.
Please keep us posted.
Hugs,
Laurie
I didn't mean that I really felt like going, but it just feels sometimes like I am on the verge. I am proud of myself today, though..I pushed through and went to band rehearsal and it helped my pain alot. It is always 50-50 whether I am going anywhere until the last minute..you guys know how that is!
If I don't have a child (one is 20 & the other will be 30) to carry things for me, I bought myself a 2 person sled & made the handle better (thank God for macrame!). I use it to carry groceries up 2 flights of stairs & I use it to carry the garbage out to the alley.
& I have gone to the MD's office on an emergency visit, he gave me a shot of pain Med in my hiney & I was in so much pain that I didn't even feel the shot!!!
If the grocery store offers one of those electric carts, take one!!! It is for those of us who NEED it, yes a lot of us don't LOOK as if we need it but do, just the same. It's not as if we are zipping down the aisles pretending we are race car drivers, we are actually using them normally!!! M
Great job for pushing through : ) I'm happy you were able to go to band practice and do something you enjoy.
Hugs,
Sara

Hi Lisa, that is awesome you went to band practice. I usually find that doing things I enjoy (even if difficult to get motivated to go or start) helps me a lot. Hugs!!
