Many churches also have assistance programs that will help with cash for housing, utilities, medical bills, etc. They also have food pantries that can help out with groceries. Just thought I would mention this as it can be another local choice/option for assistance to those in need. We are very involved in such programs at church & it is part of our ministry. Quilters Way, It is good to see that you have provided so many options here at one place for folks to consider.
God bless anyone who needs fuel assistance and has to go without during this season!
Thank you for this list! And some states offer help with the Medicare donut hole, if any of you are on Medicare. I think that Googling "help with Medicare donut hole in ____ state" would bring you to the proper resource. (Put your state into the blank box if you are running a search.)
