What a beautiful family, L-Kitty
Look at all those big smiles! Enjoy the time with them and make some great memories for all of you. Andā¦get some rest. hugs~ Sandi
YAY!!! Victory! I was a good Grandma and I took all my meds. I even started each day with vicodin, which I do not like to take at all. Coupled with Clonazopam and my regular meds I was able to stay on top of things.
We went to the roller skating rink one day. We stayed for hours while I sat on a hard wooden backless bench. I thought that it was going to really cause me problems the next day. Well, I started the next day with vicodin and we had a wonderful fishing trip with my adult son. I hiked, and played. That day I fell. All 5 of the guys yelled at me "Are you ok?" It took me a minute to get up but I was ok. Then too I worried about the pain the next day. That is today. I started the day with vicodin. We spent the morning gathering up their things, packed them up with a reluctant heart and took them to the next family that wanted to share their spring break.
Now, tomorrow I won't start the day with vicodin. I won't use it at all. I'll see how it goes. I may feel pretty beat up, but it was worth it. SOOO worth it.
Love and Hugs to all of you. Thanks for wishing me well and thanks for your prayers. God is good.
Here's a picture of one of the fishermen. Ray caught two trout!

What a great picture! Oh how I love to fish and canāt wait for summer. It sounds like you were really prepared and made some great memories with all. Praying you have a Goidelic day tomorrow - take it easy and rest, especially after that fall. hugs~ Sandi
What a cute little guy! He will always remember this, you know! You have given him a very special day! They just melt your heart!
I agree, great memory making moments. Sounded so nice even from here. Don't you just love moments like this? Too bad they're gone so quickly. But they'll last a lifetime in your grandson's mind. So nice of you, grandma, to make it happen, despite your fibro.
That being said, I hope you feel okay over the next few days. Vicodin sounds like nice stuff for pain mgmt but it's probably a good idea to go without it, as you say, to see if you did any damage from the fall. Hopefully not and you're ok. Hopefully not even any fibro pain, for an even better memory of the past few days.
Thanks Sandi. I learned a new word today. I had to look up Goidelic. A very good word! I'll have to start using it. I don't know what nationality I am, unfortunately. I go by my adopted (3 days old when adopted) parents heritage, English and German. Could be some Scott in there! Maybe some Irish, who knows.
I'm taking it easy as I can. A little beat up, but not too bad. It usually takes exactly (I don't know why) 3 days for a jarring to hit me.
Hugs
Thanks Petunia. I appreciate the support. Yes, I don't like to use vicodin unless I have something big I need to do. It works much better for me that way and I don't build up a resistance. But, I do use it if my pain is just plain old out of control.
I think this grandma had as much fun as those boys. It was good...all the way around.
As special for me as for them. I loved every minute. It was a perfect visit. Just long enough. Just the right fun things for them to do. Thanks SK.
