Hands and Legs keep going numb

Chelle, are you still having the numbness? The outside of my hands and forearms go numb. I asked my Rheumatologist what this was about, that it started in my little fingers and worked their way in to the middle of my fingers, hands and forearms. He said it was connected to a nerve in my neck. Now I know the numbness in my legs has to do with my lower back and tailbone.

Not sure if this is your answer, or if it is the same as mine, just wanted you to know what my Dr said about this.

Put it on your list, ask your Doc.

Wishing you WELL,

SK

My right leg goes numb below the knee, on both hands my pinky and ring fingers go numb. I had an MRI today and have an EMG (or is it EEG) with a neurologist to get everything checked out.

Dear Chelle,

Sorry this whizzed by me, sometimes I have to go through a few pages to see what I may have missed, and I am sorry to have missed this.

I too suffer from Sciatica, it is a shooting, ever-present pain caused by spinal nerves, sometimes a spinal disc is bulging or herniated.

Carpal tunnel could be the reason for wrist pain, but my wrists showed only mild CT. The place where my fingers, hands and forearms go numb are from the outside of the body to the middle. My Rheumatologist, also an Internist said this is connected with nerves in the neck.

Have you been through a trauma, like a car accident, or a fall?

A neurologist can do the nerve conduction tests for CT, an x-ray can determine the cause of sciatica, sometimes. Learn all you can about these things, so you are better prepared to explain this to your Doctor, and get the care you deserve.

Keep in mind that I am not a Dr and can only speak from my personal experience with both of these problems. I hope this is of help to you.

Love and hugs,

SK

Seems I am repeating myself, imagine that! LOL! Hope that you get this looked at again!

Great info SK thx

Lol no problem. I am so sorry you have had to see so many doctors and I hope you found the right one. It is a pain I saw an urgent care PA the other day for a torn meniscus and sprained anke and I left in tears. He said "I amy need another surgery and he doesn't give fibro patients pain meds so suck up the pain "

Called and complained saw another PA got an apology and meds for inflamation THANK GOODNESS!! and some pain meds that I probably wont need as much since they gave me something I can actually take for inflamation. :D
