Hi I just joined and am excited to see what all this site has to offer! I was officially diagnosed in 2013 after having lived with the pain of fibromyalgia that I'm sure all of us know all too well for over two years. I'm only 24 years old and fibromyalgia has completely turned my life upside down. I had to quit school. The job I had had to let me go because of it. I went through multiple doctors who were unwilling to help or didn't believe my pain was real. It's tough to have fibro. I learned that before I even got the diagnosis. All of us have a different experience but hopefully I'll be able to learn and share with many of you to help ease the symptoms and to not feel alone. I don't know anyone else with fibromyalgia. I've got a long life ahead of me and I don't want this to stop me from doing anything else in my future as it has in the past.
Hi ! Glad you found us . I have met so many wonderful, caring people on this site. There is also a chat room that people are in and out of at any time . Just come in in and say hello. If no one answers that only means that are either some where else on the site or forgotten to sign out. If anyone is there you would never be ignored . That’s all for now . All the best!!!

Good morning. I am also new to this site. I have been on a forum years ago and miss the support so here I am. I am much older than you but that is the wonderful thing about forums.
I am sorry that Fibro has caused your life to change so radically. As hard it is to believe, Fibromyalgia has taught we a lot about life and people. We are forced to slow down. I think it is very important to concentrate on what we have (and not what we cannot do). It has also made me more patient and be nicer to others.
Best wishes to you.
Hello! I was diagnosed with having Fibro in November of 2012. I believe that I've had this condition for much longer than my diagnosis. Welcome to this group! It's been awhile since I've been on here, but I'm back! I hope that we can get to know each other better and just want you to know that you are not alone. I too have learned some tools and coping skills. Not just from here, but from other sources of support as well. Keep your chin up and never give up! Gentle hugs to you! :-)
Hi Bippity! Welcome to the community. Although everyone is great on here, it is always nice to see other young people join this page. As young people we have some unique challenges with Fibro. Although I would never wish this upon anyone, I am always thankful for new people that can relate to these challenges. I am only 25 and Fibro makes me pretty afraid for my future. You have a great attitude though. No matter how scary it can be, I refuse to let Fibro steal my life from me! Can't wait to get to know you more :)
