Hey Everyone!

Hey there! My name is Chelsea and I am just about to turn 25. I was diagnosed at the beginning of this year but have been suffering for the last 5 years or so. I honestly have really been struggling with the idea that these symptoms may never go away. I am really excited to find a community of people who understand what I am going through. Although my family and friends try to understand, the sad fact is they just don’t. I am especially excited to see that there are other young people here. Anytime I try to explain fibro, people always tell me I am too young. I was starting to feel like I was on my own. I can’t wait to meet so many of you and hopefully learn from all of your experiences.

Hi Chelsea welcome aboard. I too was diagnosed recently but feel I have had it much longer. I also worry about living with fibro and it’s progression. I am taking one day at a time because everyday is a new day. There are a lot of good people on this site who have had fibro much longer than I have and have a lot of good advice. There is also a group just for young people. You might check it out if you have not already…
Glad your here, mom52

Welcome, Clenway. Glad you’re with us. And as for those who say who say you’re too young to be ill, here’s the link to a great article one of our mods kindly researched-
