Hoping Everyone is Doing Well Following The Christmas Festivities

I hope everyone survived Christmas festivities relatively pain free! I celebrated with 2 of my 3 children and 5 of my 7 grandchildren...I was in bed by 8pm...lol...I am still getting my house straightened out, but it will come together as I feel up to it...I am learning my limitations.

I hope the New Year is better for all of us! Gentle hugs to each of you!

I am glad you had a great Christmas and it is so special to spend it with family! I had a wonderful day and am taking it easy for the weekend to help recover. Hugs.

Hi, bd. Happy Holidays. Yours sounded wonderful with all of those grandkids. Lol.
Glad you’re taking time and pacing yourself afterwards.

Yes! Christmas was good. Sleeping half of boxing day was better though! ;)

Ha ha, absoloutely Michael, after xmas day and boxing day with family, had to sleep for most of to-day. Birthday party for my grandchild Charlie tomorrow, so it starts again. I love it , but do get despondent that I can't enjoy as much as I used to.

It sounds like you had a wonderful Christmas. I'm sure it was tiring for you but, you have to admit. Having the grandchildren around, brought out your own 'inner child" (smiles).

My Christmas festivities lasted three days. Yea, you read that right. Christmas for me is a three day affair (different homes/relatives each day). Sunday was my favorite day - I didn't have to go anywhere..... me, the couch, and the heating pad had a 'party' together.... lol

I apologize for not checking back in sooner. It has been very busy since before the holidays and the grandchildren just went back to school this past Wednesday. I live with 3 of them so life is always eventful, though mom and dad do everything they can to keep things as stress free and calm as possible for me.

I have had quite a few doctor appointments and started seeing a new rheumy...he is awesome. He is trying to calm the nerves in my brain so that I might be able to sleep more than 2 hours at a time. We'll see how it goes....He also says we are born with fibro and it is actually comprised of subsets of other syndromes and disorders and each has to be treated on its own. He also says that 50% of my children will have fibro (all 3 of my children are symptomatic and 3 of 4 of my biological grandchildren are also symptomatic).

I will be having surgery on the 16th and my doctor vetoed me coming home that day and insists that I stay atleast over night. I have to go to Jacksonville, FL for pre-op bloodwork and testing Tuesday and I have to be in Jax on Friday morning by 5am for surgery...I am so happy that I don't have to drive that 40 miles either time. I tend to get overwhelmed whenever I have to drive in all the traffic in Jacksonville.

I hope all is well with y'all. Gentle hugs and lots of love to each of you. Good night.

Grandchildren are the most wonderful things. Time spent with them is truely precious.
