I just keep flareing and bladder is out of control , with ibs also , done alot of crying today , my doctor called me back and has upped pain killers because I see urologist next week doesnt want to give me anything for bladder yet . Im lucky to have an understanding doctor . I dont like my family to see me like this , but its out of my control. They are good with me , I do a little and pay for it , part of me wants to just let it get the better of me but then another part of me is soo mad with the fibromalgia , , I suppose when your this low you have to get back up , its hard tho when your feeling so poorly with it , just wish the flares would come less I could deal with it better then xx
Just want to let you know I Hear You and I understand. Sending Gentle Hugs. :-).
Angie, oh my gosh girl, here is a giant sized hug for you: < < < H U G > > > ! ! !
I'm sorry your week has been stinky all ready, but you so eloquently put how awful it feels when you have a flare that I'm grateful that you put it on this site. Thanks for giving voice to this horrible pain because I can't even begin to, today. I hope that your flare dies down but it might not until the bladder issue is treated, I'm thinking. Lucky you for getting those pain meds and I hope they help you to cope better.
Oh dear Angie
I believe that you do have an understanding doctor who has decided to up your pain med. The purpose of pain meds is to keep the pain at a manageable level so that we can function. However if our pain is out of control it affects our whole body physically and emotionally and mentally. That is probably what is making you cry and you wonder if you should throw in the towel. It's the pain level which is too high for you to be able to think about anything else. So, when you up your dose of pain meds as your doctor told you to do I believe you will see a difference in your outlook. Even understanding family members really don't have any idea what it means when your pain spikes for a period of time and just drives you crazy. But you are fortunate that your family is supportive.Just tell them about your pain level spiking and pain flares and how it makes you feel. And tell them your doctor's order to up the pain med dose. Ask them to be patient with you til your pain med floods your system and then you are able to function.
Love and gentle hugs
Rachel
Angie, sometimes when it gets too bad, I just give in, I take the pain meds get warm and just sleep, sleep, sleep. You do need to get back up eventually, but you need to get the energy back and some resilience to take it on again. If you’re having bladder problems you may have an infection which is just going to make it harder to fight. It’s okay to give in sometimes and not do anything until things are better, your family sounds like they can take care of themselves and you for a while. Take care and get better.

Hi Angie, so sorry to hear you are feeling so poorly! As you know, I'm not a Doctor, but may have some interesting information for you! Yes, a lot of reading.
I don't really have IBS, but take Morphine which surely upsets the natural elimination of the body. I take probiotics every day, sometimes more than once a day. I use a digestive enzyme, 'Spectazme', both of these have been given to me by my Chiropractor. At his advice I eliminated one food group after another to see if I had any food allergies, and we determined that the problem, besides the narcotic was that with the removal of my gall bladder, I do not have enough digestive enzymes to break down my food, so the enzyme helps my body do this.

The above link mentions corn silk. My girlfriend who had constant bladder problems, used to dry corn silk and make tea out of it. She said it really helped her. Now if there is an infection, it will not take the place of an antibiotic, but it is worth considering.
I am not trying to diagnose or treat you, but these may be something to consider. Always talk to your Dr before adding supplements. If you see a Chiropractor, discuss these with them, they know vitamins and supplements like an Internist knows medicines.
Hope you feel better soon!
Big hugs,
SK

Holy cow, this link says it helps relieve the pain of arthritis! We usually freeze corn every year, so I'll be having a truck load of silk! It's surely worth a try for me!
