In dire need of advice

Back in January, I hurt my back at work, the stupid dr at the Hosp. decided that I was good to back to work in June. During the time that I have been off, my nuerologist found brain lesions while he was checking the nerve damage in my back. The director of the company sent me a letter today stating that I need to report for duty on Wednesday, or contact her on Monday. Only a month ago she sent me the American disabilities paper work which my nuero filled out, and told her that there was no way I could come back to work until I saw the MS specialist, I don't have an apt there until Septemeber 17, Can she do that> and can she take my workers comp payments away> Im very worried Any suggestion, I'm half in a brain fog today, so If I sound off tha why.

Could you switch to fmla leave at work. I think the workers comp will only cover the original back injury. I no at work they don't fire you but take you all the pay role which means you are eligible for rehire and can draw unemployment. Do you have short and long term disability at work? I will be paid while I am out then can switch to long term even after I am takin of pay role. Have you thought about filling for disability? I feel like I have ask more questions than I have helped. Please. keep me posted.

Last I heard they could not fire you as long as you were under a Doctor's care, however I do not know if that changes if the original diagnosis changes. Good question for the local labor board, they would have the answer to that one. Give them a call and let everyone know. also let us know which state you are in because it may change from state to state or it may be federal law I'm not sure. Good test case since everyone here is at some point in the same potential position.

I am in pa. I pray they can’t do that we are going to settlement on Friday on the Rancher we are buying so that I am on one floor!
